Breaking the cycle of homelessness requires more than temporary shelter – it demands a foundation of comprehensive support. New Endeavors by Women (NEW) provides this critical lifeline for women & kids experiencing homelessness by offering the resources needed to build brighter, independent futures.

Our region lost more than 100,000 jobs last year. To create opportunity for our residents, DC has to be the best place in the country to start and grow a business. That means supporting our businesses and workers, filling Downtown vacancies, and attracting new high-growth industries.

We cannot have armed National Guards in or around our schools and young people. Our schools must remain welcoming environments of learning and growth, and spaces where all DC students, parents, and school staff can feel safe and can thrive.

All DC residents deserve to have access to healthy food and recreational activities. The work that Building Bridges Across the River does every day to benefit our community, provide arts programming, & economic opportunities east of the Anacostia River is critical and I am thrilled to support them.

No one is above the law. The fraud allegations against the six MPD officers are a deep betrayal of public trust and a waste of hard-earned taxpayer money. Public corruption will not be tolerated in the District.
