A good reminder that we don’t raise our kids to be pedophiles, rapists, bigots, greedy pathological liars, or fucking morons. We also typically get them to stop shitting themselves at some point.

The fuck if we are. Not until it’s all out in daylight and every evil bastard that hurt, raped, and from the sounds of it murdered children (and those that covered it up for them) is walked to a guillotine or gallows. And that’s of they’re lucky. This HAS TO BE what makes it all come crashing down.

I’m old enough to remember when Republicans would preach endlessly about wanting small government and protecting states’ rights. And now we’re here at supporting sweeping federal control and full authoritarian rule, and they couldn’t be more thrilled. We live in the absolute dumbest timeline.

Work isn’t just for doing work and having toys all over your desk. It’s also a place of resistance.

I deal with these people at work. It’s wild how absolutely fast they completely 180’d their views to suit the pedo in the oval. It’s almost like they never actually cared about freedom at all, and only cared about taking it away from others. Fucking cowards and traitors, all of em.

As someone who was a youth pastor, and has read it, cover to cover, twice, I can confirm. Atheism to me is simply not needing Jesus to have divinity to want to follow his teachings and philosophy on how to treat one another.
Image of hands holding an open Bible with the words over the image:

Buy a Bible, don’t read it, and you’ll be a Catholic.

Buy a Bible, read only what suits you, and you’ll be an Evangelical.

Buy a Bible, read it fully, analyze it, reason it, and you will be an Atheist.

The executive, the congress, and the courts have forsworn their oaths to the Constitution in favor of idolatry to one man, and shown us that they are not there to represent us. That no one is coming to help us, and that we will have to do it ourselves. What you allow is what will continue.

“And the monster screaming the loudest? The monster we’ve helped create? The monster who will come for us all soon enough is…” Art imitates life, and life imitates art. If you didn’t know this came from #StarWars, I bet I know what name you’d place there. May the force be with us all.
A scene from Star Wars’ Andor, where Senator Mon Mothma delivers the speech that formally unites the rebellion:

“The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped from our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.”

I’ve gotten into morale patches somewhat recently, and I think the cover of my little book has filled out nicely. This space, being 2A-adjacent, is saturated with maga. Big thanks to creators like @offcolordecals.bsky.social , LumolaStudio (Etsy) and others representing leftist ideology there!
A morale patch book with patches on the cover that are:

NO WAR BUT CLASS WAR with a red raised fist
RESIST TYRANNY
The Three Arrows symbol
The Rebel Alliance symbol from Star Wars
A guillotine
HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT
DEFEND EQUALITY underneath a silhouette of an AR15 over the Progress Pride Flag

Replacing my old wallet prompted something different today: here’s my everyday carry. Yes, that’s a LEGO keychain. It’s been on my keys since 2001, slowly wearing away but holding strong. For the #edc curious: #civivi #streamlight #mightybar #olight #keyunity #keysmart #flexfit #fossil #bic #LEGO

I wish I could say the same. I keep waiting for “we were wrong” from my folks. Until I get that, there can be no repairing our completely broken relationship.
“Hell has officially frozen over. My Fox-News-loving-MAGA-mom finally admitted she was wrong and is now “scared of what’s happening.”

Who’da thunk it, looks like allowing people to be called what they want to be called isn’t actually a deeply held conviction when these people are reminded exactly how close they are to being destitute. I just wish empathy worked as well as fear does. We wouldn’t be in this mess.

For those out making good trouble today. Stay safe! #handsoff #wearetheflood
An infographic listing tips for protesting safely.

What to wear: nondescript, solid color, layered clothing that covers identifying marks and tattoos; heat resistant gloves; goggles and mask; hair tied up; emergency contacts written down on your arms.

What to bring: water for drinking and tear gas; snacks; cash and ID; bandages and first aid supplies; washcloth; ear plugs; protest signs.

What not to bring: cell phone without first turning off face/touch id, on airplane mode, disabled data; jewelry; anything you don’t want to be arrested with; contact lenses.

Stay safe while making good trouble!

My carefully considered thoughts on the practical, ethical, and economic considerations surrounding the use of AI to allow wealth to access skill while at the same time preventing skill from accessing wealth, thus creating a broader divide in the wealth gap, summarized:
A computer can never be spiteful or horny, therefore a computer must never make art.

Almost like the whole point was to sell people fear and enrich themselves with donations. I told my dad FOR YEARS to stop giving his hard earned money to rich fuckers that did not need it. He didn’t listen. He went maga. Now he’s on tyranny’s side calling it patriotism. I am ashamed of him.

True, true. But the thing that sticks with me most is how more than 1 in 3 Americans just stayed home and did fuck all instead of realizing that with every right, there is an inherent responsibility. Too many people were irresponsible. And they let the truly terrible ones get the upper hand.
31.78% voted for Trump
30.84% voted for Harris
1.06% voted third party
36.33% did not vote

More Americans voted for someone other than Trump. NOT a landslide. NOT a mandate.

My parents among them. It shames me that they taught me to never punch down, and to have integrity, only to sell theirs for a con man’s red hat. I haven’t spoken to them since the election, and I know now I certainly can’t trust them. They made their grandkids’ world worse with their choices.
