My quest to achieve success with a 'flat' 4-4-2 continues and I must say having the next Brazilian superstar does help. The midfield is all about the arrows, really. On a different save it could be that different combos work. The game perhaps 'likes' central MC pushing up 1 with 2 strikers.

Well, this is really something. For years I've tried to make a 4-4-2. Years. And this seems to be doing it. Yes, we have a young Cahill who is excelling, but *zero* outfield signings, poor keepers and over reliance on Wilko to get goals. But we're up there, fighting... Last few games!

Magic the Kettering continues. We're chasing back to back PL titles. Our tactic has been the same since Div1 I think and it still works like a charm. Batigol regen Gonzalo La (aka. GoLaZo) joined us from relegated Lazio and he's having a career year.

So, update on Prem season 2. Opening day defeat to newly promoted Forest, so switched tactic and record now stands at W12 D2 L0. Everything seems to click in this new formation.

PL here we come. I am pretty sure in real life our stadium would not qualify for PL. My fave player this year was Donnelly at DC, who we signed from Cheltenham for a neat 1m. Bankroll up to 94mil now, following more player sales, bringing this season's intake to 57mil.

couple more transfers out and our welsh gk gets his first cap and moves out for 13.5 mil. we signed Borghetto (i think Baggio regen), and a strongly recommended 27 yo norwegian MC on our way to Div1. I suspect a slow start as usually happens with new signings, but let's see how it shapes up.

Ignore the players, this was last seasons tactic. I've now managed to get Terry, so will probably go to a back 4. Bringing the fullbacks into play was from one of your old tactics I think. Worked absolute wonders for me in a Serie B save with Bologna.

oh yeah! we're cruising. Stan Muscat doing well, although not dominating to the extent I had imagined. other big difference maker was the addition of Algerian Dahmani at AMC. Otherwise keeping 6 core players from our Div3 run in the starting 11.

When I'm testing a new tactic, as i do frequently, I consider red cards, own goals and injuries received all as negative marks, a way of the CPU punishing something... not as bad 'luck' #cm9798v2

stars of the season: naylor at AMC, Leonard (those attributes!) at AML, Hendon at DC. Most of the squad is very young and seemed like first year regens, so I expect their CA to jump by 20-30 points at least, should be good enough to stick around in Div2.
