Solo dev is also a bit shady term, as many “solo devs” hire contractors to do art, music, marketing etc so technically they solo programmed game. But they didn’t solo made everything.

We need a new term for a game made by self-funded 1-3 people studio. Every time i get offer from a platform, agency etc cater to "indies" it it has at least one 0 too many, higher than a whole production budget. I'm not saying lower prices, I'm saying 10-50k fee for a service is not "indie" friendly

It’s like… all jobs are important at once. But marketing sometimes is so daunting. Spending time on it for 1 like. And even if you succeed and get decent views or some bigger publication post about you… and then you see no change in sales… that’s depressing.
