Culture Club is BACK (& also 5 years old!) – with the first in an occasional series celebrating artist workers' co-op not/nowhere, with the legendary Martina Attille interviewing n/n member Leena Habiballa about her stunning film "Dead as a Dodo" www.clubdesfemmes.com/culture-club...
Collage of historical images of dodos, overlaid to form a square. There is a large drawing of a flock of dodos on the short of a fantastical island, a small square naturalistic rendering of some living dodos in the top left corner, and in the centre a zoological pen and ink sketch of three dodo claws. Still from Leena Habiballa's film Dead as a Dodo.

Our website has been losing functionality since 2012. Luckily over the past coupla years Alec, TJ & I have been slowly working on a leaner, slicker site. Yesterday, Alec went rogue and launched it. Probs best no one use it for now, not sure any of it works. Might even be dangerous. t.co/cC32dsNQSt

I'm a week behind this news & utterly floored by it. I bought BASTARD OUT OF CAROLINA from the window of Karnac Books when I was in sixth form & stood reading them in the street as buses passed. Dorothy Allison opened the floodgates: SKIN is still one of my fave essay collections.
