I guess this would be a good time to introduce the other main character — Saargano! 🐉 He's incredibly tall, although most of that height is in his neck. He isn't going to be wearing a tank top and baggy pants forever; that's just a comfy placeholder outfit as he readapts to life on land. 🌊 #artshare

Pencil sketch doodle of Saargano (a tall, muscular, silver-blue dragon with a long neck, long horns, and a wide wingspan. He's wearing a blank tank top and greyish pants) flying alongside Ven (a smaller half-dragon/elf with dark curly hair, shorter horns, and is wearing a black vest and tight-fitted pants that reveal their toe claws). They're up high, so the spherical shape of the planet can be seen. Their backs are facing the viewer. There are several continents below them.

Pencil sketch of a select frame from the comic. This depicts Ven's first encounter with Saargano. Ven is a half-dragon/elf, seen in a helmet with deep sea diving gear. They're hovering before Saargano, who is currently in a behemoth state that all pure blooded dragons can attain in the story, with the ability to return to their adaptable sizes. Saargano is a tall, silver-blue dragon. He has a long snout and a long neck. His horns have a slight 'S' curve, with the tips pointing upward. He has light hair that starts at the peak of his forehead, and ends midway down his neck. He is depicted lying down with his head raised, glaring at an inquisitive Ven with a threatening aura. There is an array of bubbles around him.

Behold the bluest character in the comic 💙 💙 💙 (Quote with something blue.)

Watercolor and inked illustration of Ven, the elf-dragon hero in my story. They're an androgynous with blue skin, dark curly mid-length hair, curved horns that wrap around their head and point upwards. Their eyes are a gold hue. They have claws on their feet. They also have one wing folded in and the other pointed outward. Their tail is in a slight 'S' form. They are wearing a blue vest with gold trim, a gold fitted athletic crop top, waist-high pants that are form-fitting, and a pair of magic gauntlets that are gleaming. Watercolor paint, black ink liner, and white gel ink were used in this portrait.

Current progress with Cloudwing's #storyboard. I have a feeling I might be overcomplicating the frames. Anyone else deal with this? If so, what advice do you have on how to make the storyboarding process go smoother? #comic #creator #art #graphicnovel #story #draft #illustration #sketch #HELPMEEE

The first and only completed character designs for the series (2020). More characters have been sketched and fleshed out, but so far we have: Ven! the main protagonist; half-dragon/half-elf. and one of their dads - Taro; a Gaian elf. Backstories (and more finished character art) coming soon!

main protagonist, Ven Cloudwing. they are an androgynous dragon/elf hybrid with cobalt blue skin and short, curved horns pointing upward. their hair is a dark blue, almost black shade, in a wavy/curled style that's long in the bangs and shorter in the back. their outfit currently consists of navy blue sneakers, waist-high pants, a short-length vest, a gold scale-texture binder underneath the vest, and wristbands. parts of their outfit have gold trim. they have wings, a tail, and some patches of dragon scales on their forehead, cheeks, and shoulders, but the rest of their body has more elf-like/humanoid features. they're looking forward with a confident expression. transparent background.

one of the main protagonist's dads, Taro Cloudtwist, who is an elf. currently has pale blue skin (will be changed later). he is tall, lanky, has dark blue/almost black hair that is styled into a short undercut. he is wearing prescription glasses, a burgundy leather jacket, teal polo shirt, grey slacks, and dark brown loafers. he has his hands in his pockets, looking off to the side. transparent background.
