Books 16 and 17: 8/10 I'll be honest, I enjoyed reading about the Foxes more, but that isn't a knock. I think the follow up is very lovingly written, but the slower pace has me immediately wanting me to reread the story of the Foxes to be honest

Book 15: 9.9/10 Okay. I know this series is like a decade old. I feel ridiculous for loving it as much as I do. Is it perfect? No. Is it amazingly written? Not really. But it is filled with so much heart that none of that matters? Yeah.

Book 14: 8.5/10 Awww okay, this one snuck up on me as a random recommendation on Libby. It was so genuinely pleasant and thoughtful. It encapsulates a really genuine queer story that I'll think about for a long time. Also, the audiobook was GREAT.

Book 13: 9/10 Um???? Um??????? The ramp up on this book has me reeling still. I feel like I got kicked. I want to know so much, but maybe it gets expanded on??? Maybe it doesn't???? What if Haikyuu was campy and violent and ridiculous and ripped your guts even more?? What is happening to me?

Book 12: 7.7/10 I enjoyed this. Gender is tricky. This book talks about that tricky muckiness in a way that felt purposeful. Some of the ways didn't sit with me well, others did, and I think that's purposeful too.

Book 11: 7/10 I'm liking the build up into this series! I'm excited to start Book 2! But I'll be moving to the physical book after this. This audio narration makes some wild character voice choices that I just can't put up with for a whole series.

Book 9: 6/10 Ugh, this one bummed me out. I loved the story a lot, and the writing felt perfectly Of The Period, but the narration on the audiobook was. Disappointing. I was so excited that the narrator was nonbinary, but they just... Really didn't read well. This would be an 8/10 easy otherwise.

Book 8: 9.5/10 Perfect to get me out of my mediocre book funk. This book was genuinely beautiful. It felt kind and loving. Like if House of Leaves wasn't angry and uncomfortable. The last page had me moved to tears.

Book 7: 4.5/10 ...I wanted to like this. I really did. It was... Silly. Some of the writing was beautiful, but about 40% of the book could have been cut. I felt like I was going insane. Positive: the audiobook narrator was incredible.
