A four panel meme, based on a Simpsons episode. The first panel shows Marge Simpson shouting "SONY, NO!". The next panel is Bart with his mouth slightly open speaking to Marge - and she's looking at him with a side eye. The third panel is marge talking to Bart, saying "Sorry, force of habit." The final panel is Marge shouting "XBOX, NO!".

A screenshot of a "1Password Crash Reporter" dialog. The text reads "1Password quite unexpectedly the last time it was run. Click Report to send more information to the 1Password team."

I have highlighted the "unexpectedly" text in yellow.

The options are "Send Later", "Ignore", and "Report". As far as I can tell, they all do the same thing, as it never gets fixed.

This image depicts a lone stick figure approaching a group only to be met with a massive, silent thumbs-up before the group returns to their conversation. It is a popular meme format used to illustrate a dismissive reaction to someone sharing an unprompted or irrelevant opinion. The giant thumb serves as a visual "cool story, bro," effectively shutting down the outsider's attempt to join the discussion.

A two-panel black and white comic. In the first panel, a person stands in the center of a puddle, appearing visibly embarrassed with wet pants, while surrounded by shadowy figures pointing at them and laughing, indicated by the repeated "HA HA" text in the background. In the second panel, a close-up of the same person shows them smiling with their eyes closed, unfazed by the surrounding laughter, as they think, "HEH. RENT FREE."

Jasmine is still putting on weight. As I'm a nerd I graphed it. Still not quite tracking the 0.4th centile, but it seems it is steady. Dietitian gave my sister permission to start weaning her a little bit early (she has teeth coming through already) so hopefully she takes to food better than milk.
UK-WHO Weight-for-Age growth chart for a girl from 15 to 22 weeks. Several grey centile lines (0.4th to 91st) slope upwards, with the 50th percentile (median) highlighted in light red. A bold blue line tracks five specific measurements: starting at 4.39kg (15.3 weeks), rising to 4.6kg (17.1 weeks), and reaching 4.8kg at 21.4 weeks. The blue track starts on the 0.4th centile line and gradually drifts slightly below it by the final measurement, indicating a slower rate of gain than the median reference.

Shitty meme done on my phone but
This image is a four-panel meme template from the movie Pacific Rim featuring the character Dr. Newton Geiszler frantically explaining data at a large chalkboard. The original movie dialogue has been edited with captions to joke about the increasing frequency of "discourse" on Bluesky.

Image Summary:

Panel 1: Dr. Geiszler writes on a chalkboard covered in complex equations. The caption reads: "In the beginning the DISCOURSE WAS spaced apart 24 weeks. Then 12, then 6, then every 2 weeks."

Panel 2: A close-up of the character looking intense. The caption reads: "The last one ON BLUESKY was a week."

Panel 3: He holds a pointer against the board while looking at someone off-camera. The caption reads: "In 4 days we could be seeing DISCOURSE every 8 hours until they are coming every 4 minutes."

Panel 4: A wide shot showing him standing by a tall ladder in front of the massive chalkboards, addressed to two men in the foreground. The caption reads: "We should witness a double event within seven days."

Palestine Action as a terrorist group

Sir, The home secretary proposed to ban Palestine Action on the ground of "unacceptable criminal damage" after they infiltrated RAF Brize Norton ("Palestine Action's rise from ashes of Corbynism to public enemy No 1", Aug 9). In the 1980s when I was UK commander of the RAF Greenham Common cruise missile base, I had a £250,000 annual budget to repair damage done by peace protesters to the perimeter fence. We had a strong Ministry of Defence police presence to stop intruders, often in a rather Benny Hill fashion. The intruders were left in no doubt that if they tried to infiltrate the secure storage area with its 96 nuclear warheads, they would be shot by US air force military police, who were a mean crowd. There were thousands of such protesters "threatening" the base, but their freedom of speech was always respected and I never heard anyone in Whitehall or the Pentagon suggest that they should be classed as terrorists.

13 games available free for 48 hours as part of a stand for creative freedom and preservation

August 1st, 2025 – Some games vanish. Not because they broke the law, but because someone decided they shouldn't exist.

As an archival platform dedicated to protecting gaming history, we believe that if a game is legal and responsibly made, players should be able to enjoy it today – and decades from now. With the launch of FreedomToBuy.games, we're taking a stand against the quiet erasure of creative works from digital shelves.

[An embedded image shows white text on a dark background, which reads: "CENSORSHIP IS QUIETLY DECIDING WHICH GAMES YOU CAN BUY. We are fighting back."]

We launched FreedomToBuy.games to make a statement: when games are delisted today because of discomfort, reviving them tomorrow becomes exponentially harder.

To mark this initiative, for 48 hours only, a selection of 13 titles will be available for free, thanks to the support of their developers and publishers:
