Saw a post that made me realize that I love designing characters and outfits, but for some reason I don´t really care for putting much thought into their shoes aside from some basics (likes practicality, would wear something fancy, no shoes at all etc.)

My characters are created for a story, so I naturally have different feelings about them depending on who they are (some of them don´t deserve my affection even though I made them, trust me lol). I show them affection by drawing/writing or thinking about them having a good time

Lenny, Artie, Phinex and Katelyn do (which doesn´t mean they´re all safe to be on the road). Jason gets easily carsick, so he never bothered getting a driver´s license. Elvis doesn´t have one either, but that won´t stop him.

My story is a post-apocalyptic adventure with fantasy, comedy, slice of life and romance, and slight horror elements in-between. Because it ultimately mixes a lot of genres together, I honestly believe you could make these characters work in any genre.

I don´t think a single one of my main characters gets away without getting at least a little traumatized over the course of the story (not even mentioning that the premise is about surviving "The End" and living in a post-apocalyptic lawless world). I´m still debating changing some more of my character´s genders in the rewrite (I need more women), and there´s one where I´m tempted (stoic guy whose story revolves around taking revenge for his child), but he has a meaningful name that wouldn´t make any sense if he was a woman

I initially wanted Artie´s skin to look kinda grayish and strange (a side effect of heavy Bliss use), but I ended up liking this skin tone with his hair color so much that it´s hard to imagine him any different now even in the past #oc #ocsky
