What the hell @cbcnews.ca, your website should not be allowing ads over top of the article text. That's basic 101 UX stuff. It's not even some special "site takeover promotion" that someone bought (also bad but somewhat explainable). It's just shitty google ads for random crap.

I'm not sure what wasn't working before maybe I just forgot to hit submit? Lol anyway, I'm in but I get an error on login. This domain profile has thrown other apps for a loop before.

2024 has probably been the most productive year for me coding-wise since I was a teenager. A whole lot of things clicked together in my head this year and I've been able to execute on a ton of ideas. git-wrapped.com/profiles/clo...

@yasbaltrine.bsky.social I've been loving gitingest, what a hugely useful tool. Thank you for making it, saves me a ton of manual work. I'm currently encountering an error for commas in the exclude/include field.

I'm very impressed with whomever the reporter was that was able to capture Doug Ford's decision-making process in coming to this plan to invoke the notwithstanding clause to dismantle encampments for the unhoused www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Let's procrastinate on my hard coding problems longer by wasting time. Someone shared their Github activity graph which made me look at my own over the last 3 years. I signed up in 2011 but didn't really start using it to host my projects until 2022.

Doing a hackathon at work this weekend. This time trying to stretch out the 24 hours into 3 8 hour shifts instead of a straight-through slog. Currently in the valley of despair with it.
The image shows the **Dunning-Kruger Effect Curve**, illustrating how confidence (y-axis) relates to knowledge and experience (x-axis). Key stages include:
1. **Peak of "Mount Stupid"**: High confidence with little knowledge.
2. **Valley of Despair**: Confidence drops as awareness of ignorance grows.
3. **Slope of Enlightenment**: Confidence increases with learning.
4. **Plateau of Sustainability**: Confidence stabilizes with expertise.

The curve highlights the journey from "Know-nothing" to "Guru."

That was the family computer, the first one that was *mine* was a Macintosh IIci with a portrait sized monitor. It was not connected to the internet at all, but I somehow got ResEdit onto it and heavily modified the look and behaviour of the OS. I recall making a CYOA game in Hypercard too.

I played a ton of PC games this year, I'm kind of excited to see the Steam Year in Review when it happens because this is last year's stats...

This is actually a lie. I'm not playing games, I was going to play games but I realized I still had social media migration homework to do first... it's like getting a new computer or a new phone and you have all this setup and tweaking to do
