“Sea Change” by @ranaforoohar.bsky.social is an important read. Russia & China have ~60 icebreakers; the US 3, Canada 18. Canada is investing heavily in Arctic defence. As Arctic routes offer alternatives to Hormuz, Suez & Panama, defending our Arctic sovereignty is vital to 🇨🇦's security and trade.

The U.S. doesn’t have allies except for Russia, Israel, and N.Korea. Trump stopped all support for Ukraine in 2025, and now is actually empowering Russia to continue the war via lifting of sanctions and making massive diesel deal that will enrich both Trump and Putin and fund the war on Ukraine.

Me too. We're working very hard and quickly to protect our sovereignty and economy. But we know they are trying to strangle our economy and divide our country. But we aren't without power, we have courage, and friends and allies. I feel for countries that don't, like Cuba; they are next.
