Pulling cards for Fantasy Fest Win-a-Dual, in Victoria. Chose this deck entirely to showcase my JPN foil Eggs, which are my favourite cards, party cause the @wheeler.bsky.social Eggs deck was the first lander list I ever saw. So this pile feels very “me” and is also an emblem of The Best Lander

Got a 🏝️ and I’m down to 1 proxy in my favourite #canlander deck. I’m trying a new spread right now and it feels good. Mox improves your countermagic and your ramp spells, and it gives this deck a chance to stabilize easier while on the draw. I’ve won with shift on turn 4 now! New achievement.

I've brewed and tested around 15 versions of Scapeshift over the last 6 months. This folder is my Villa Diodati. I'm developing a personal canon.

A few weeks ago I was playing canlander in our weeklies and 100% solo'd a game with Cheeky House Mouse and Sheltered by Ghosts. Opponent kept a risky 6 and my aura blasted their Mana Vault. So I am never cutting this card now as it's a data-backed inclusion (n=1).

the magic card called Cheeky House Mouse showing a white mouse stealing a spooky witch's ring. the flavour text reads "get back here, rodent! I was almost done cursing that ring!"

Amazing signed #RebeccaGuay playmat as an anniversary present from my wife, so special! 🧚 Bitterblossom is one of my fav cards and she didn’t even know that, she just also has good taste.

Another HP foreign language card, another Wasteland. Traded my set of JPN Wastelands towards an Imp Seal and a German Wasteland (pal wanted matching language set). —Das Oracle en-Vec. #mtg

German language copy of a Magic the Gathering trading card called Wasteland.

Hey @scryfall.com I've been wracking my brain, and I can't figure this out. Local players are drafting a format where card pool ends in 2020. How to find legal printings that came out in illegal years? There's "in:" syntax for sets, but not for years. Is there "released:YYYY" or "original:YYYY" ?

You don't come across these every day, so I was pretty excited to find this at an LGS on a small island near my city. It's even signed by David Martin! (I hope – he's kind of hard to contact, but it looks legit, imo).

Ecstatic to get back my fav cards by my fav artist, signed by @artofheatherhudson.bsky.social! They look fantastic. My friend brought them to an Old School event for me (read: I am too broke for Old School).

the aura:price ratio on heavily played foreign language cards is unbelievably high. I’ll start posting some more that I’ve collected recently.

Just found out that @markzug.bsky.social's Sphynx is a reference to my favourite rock album, Fly by Night. The similarities are clear, but it's cool to know it was on purpose! That album feels very "Magic" to me... especially By Tor and the Snow Dog (I always picture Isamaru, by Moeller).

rk Post really delivered. I love his artwork and his signature. I used an ink-dropper tool and a colour wheel to test a lot of complimentary colours but I settled on the matching orange, with silver to complement the blue. I wanted it to really pop on the busy card, so I asked for it large. #mtg

My orchestral fantasy synth album is now available in vinyl! This is an independent project over 2 years in the making. No AI was used at any point. The album is priced at 75% of cost. And the digital download on Bandcamp is now free! This isn’t my business, it’s my fantasy. URL in bio 🔮

Been a while since I collected anything new & noteworthy. I really love Caldwell’s retro fantasy style, but he worked on very few magic cards (and nothing widely playable). I just recently mailed this Caretaker down to him. It’s a card I bought a long time ago, before I got into signatures.

My symphonic dungeon and fantasy synth record came out today. I've spent 2 years on it! I think the sound brings something unique to Fantasy music and I'm really proud of that. Vinyl will be stocked through Repose Records and Ratti Incantati. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhLf...

The aesthetics of Mirrodin’s wizards are peak, and so are the aesthetics of these signatures. Angus is unfortunately no longer with us so I really treasure this Chinese copy of Fabricate that I picked up from a prolific collector in Italy. The card on the right is Thirst For Knowledge. Bangers!

I am here to show off my first Hoover. Very happy about it. I’d rather bore people than gatekeep them so I’ll go on: Quinton Hoover is a legend illustrator from early magic and 90s board games. He has a unique and cool signature. He passed away, collectors horde his sigs, and they are valuable.

My friend Brett is not over here yet for the tag. But I want to thank him for learning parametric design to 3D print 152 carbon-fibre nylon dividers according to my spec sheet. These will alphabetically separate 4,927 cards (at time of writing) across 8 card groups

I’ve completed construction of my storage solution, the Magicabinet which I designed and mfg’d. 12 small removable drawers are perfectly spec’d for magic cards, sideways in sleeves, with headroom for alphabetical dividers (more on those soon). 5 larger trays are to house miniatures, paints, etc.

Here’s an auction I won. One of my favourite pieces of card art. And can be wizard-cycled for with Step Through, another of my favourite pieces (which I plan to get signed at Con Chicago). She seems a little flimsy as a commander but I am concocting UG artifacts with flip tamiyo…
