This album came onto my radar when it came out (thanks to Calder Hannan/Metal Music Theory). I've been meaning to listen to it since, and I did today! I really enjoyed it. Super nice use of electronic elements in long-winded, lush, creative metal. amun.bandcamp.com/album/spectr...

In other news, I've been very inactive on here. For two reasons: 1. I'm shamelessly addicted to Minecraft 2. I'm setting up a new PC and getting everything on that ready takes time, it's going well though!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVmu... I gave this album another listen for the first time in years. I was pretty lukewarm on it, and while I still don't love it like some do, it's definitely not my least favorite pre-hiatus album. It's probably towards the top, with new perspective

sumac.bandcamp.com/album/the-he... I feel comfortable calling this my current favorite album of the decade. I wasn't sure of calling it that at first, considering how different it is, but it feels right the more I listen to it. This album is incredibly creative and I thoroughly enjoy it! #musicsky

checking out a new discography. Opeth's discography has been a blind spot for me (having only heard Blackwater Park and a few other songs previously) the debut album is nice. a little same-y once you get a few songs in, but they clearly had a vision for their sound! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj27...

kayodot.bandcamp.com/album/hubardo My all-time favorite album, and one that continues to be a monument of inspiration for me. A one hundred minute beast that doesn't relent its emotion nor ambition. Every moment is special, unique, and deeply nuanced. It rewards repeat listens #metalsky

I re-listened to it last night, which is why I'm finally posting about it. Its luster wasn't worn off in the years I've listened to it. It is truly mindblowing how nuanced and layered this album is, and trying to wrap my head around it is challenging but also awe-inspiring. So inspirational for me
