Our latest analysis: global LNG markets face structural oversupply as demand falls and new supply comes online by 2030. With contracts expiring from the mid-2030s, Australia’s high-cost LNG is exposed, suggesting limited scope for new contracts. The analysis: www.climate-resource.com/publications...

India’s new 2035 NDC: -47% emissions intensity (vs -45% by 2030). Depending on GDP growth, could mean 1–2 GtCO₂e more emissions in 2035 than in 2030 NDC, but signals shift to all-GHG targets and 2030 goals overachieved. Peak emissions timing unclear. legacy.climate-resource.com/tools/ndcs/s...

Big step for #CMIP7: the Rapid Evaluation Framework (REF) is taking shape, enabling faster, more systematic climate model evaluation for the #IPCC AR7 cycle. We've been working hard at: Better evaluation → more transparent models → stronger decisions. 🔗 www.linkedin.com/posts/climat...

We have put out some new NDC snapshots. Check them out: www.climate-resource.com/tools/ndcs?v.... The latest is the Chinese NDC that sets an emissions reduction of 7–10% below the peak by 2035, moving from a carbon intensity goal to an absolute target. This enhances transparency and accountability.

It finds that if current and announced commitments are fully delivered, warming could be limited to ~1.8–1.9 °C. The key: implementation, stronger 2035 targets & climate finance.
