102 new mitigation-focused laws & policies added to CPR from @newclimate.bsky.social's Climate Policy Database - from Bhutan's National Energy Policy, aiming for 25,000 MW renewable capacity by 2040, to Kenya's National Energy Compact, targeting 100% clean electricity & clean cooking access by 2030.
Climate Policy Radar and NewClimate Institute logos above a large number 102 in bold orange, with the text "New mitigation-related laws and policies on Climate Policy Radar" below, set against a cream background with an abstract orange geometric pattern like a chevron in the bottom left hand corner, taking up a third of the graphic, with a lower opacity so the text is visible on top. The orange used matches the orange in NCI's logo which is mostly grey, but with a chevron pattern in orange that part makes up the 'W" in new and "M" in climate.

2026 is a triple COP year, with world leaders meeting three times to address the interconnected crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, & land degradation. On Friday at #SB64, this made for one of the most energising sessions we've been part of: 'Advancing synergies across the #RioConventions’.
A panel discussion taking place inside the main plenary hall of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany. Five panellists are seated in a semicircle on the conference floor. A projection screen on the left displays Climate Policy Radar's organisational description, and the large UN Climate Change Conference logo is visible on the main screen behind them. CPR's Founder and CEO, Michal Nachmany, is shown on a live video screen to the right. Delegate nameplates for Nepal and LDC are visible in the foreground.Eight people seated at a long formal panel table at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany. Nameplates identify representatives including the COP31 Presidency, COP31 President of Negotiations Branch, COP30 Chief Executive Officer, UNCCD Secretariat, UNFCCC Secretariat, and CBD Secretariat. The large UN Climate Change Conference banner is displayed prominently behind them. One panellist is speaking into a microphone.

Implementation, financing, policy coherence, participation - core themes echoing through conversations at #SB64. Yesterday, we co-hosted a side event on DPI & the Belém Technology Implementation Programme, exploring how to make sure technology solutions actually unlock climate action on the ground.
Panel session in progress at the World Conference Center Bonn. Five panellists sit behind a long table with laptops and microphones. A woman with curly hair in the centre is speaking, hands clasped, leaning forward. This is Dr Michal Nachmany, Founder and CEO of Climate Policy Radar. Behind them, a projection screen shows the event title "Accelerating Climate Solutions: DPI and Technology Opportunities to Scale Action" with headshots of six speakers. A colourful abstract mural covers the wall to the right.Five panellists stand in a line smiling in front of the event projection screen. Left to right: a man in a grey blazer with glasses and a beard (Gaston Kremer, Executive Director of WTT), a woman with long curly hair and a blue patterned scarf (Michal Nachmany, Founder & CEO of Climate Policy Radar), a woman in a white top with a decorative bird motif, wearing glasses, with long dark hair (Nayra Kaxuyana, from the Ministério dos Povos Indígenas), a man in a dark suit with a green tie who is also wearing round glasses (Park Hansol, a policy specialist from the Green Climate Fund, and a woman in a cowprint patterned dress with brown hair and glasses (Emilly Silva CGEE). The screen behind them shows the "Accelerating Climate Solutions" event screen. Four panellists seated at the panel table in front of the colourful mural. From left: a woman with long dark hair and round glasses looking at her laptop (Nayra Kaxuyana); a man in a dark suit writing notes (Park Hansol); a man in a grey suit speaking into a microphone and smiling (Pedro Ivo Ferraz da Silva); and a woman in a patterned dress at a laptop (Emilly Silva).

Want to know how to maximise impact by keeping your data systems boring, so you can use your data in more exciting ways? This Sunday, three of our data engineering team Fred O'Loughlin, @kaparker.bsky.social, & Mark Cottam will be making the case for boring tech @pydatalondon.bsky.social.
A square graphic with a light cream background. Large bold black text reads "Making tech boring to keep data exciting" (all in capital letters!) with the Climate Policy Radar 'radar' icon that almost looks like a fingerprint, in navy blue, between "boring" and "to keep." Below the title, a subtitle reads "Climate Policy Radar at PyData London 2026." Three portrait photos of speakers are arranged in a row: a man with glasses and a checked shirt on the left (Fred), a woman with straight brown hair and a grey top in the centre (Kerry), and a man with short dark hair and a brown hoodie on the right (Mark). They are all smiling. Below the photos, smaller bold text reads "Sunday 7th June, 11.45am–12.30pm BST" followed by "Doddington Forum, Convene Sancroft, St. Paul's." The Climate Policy Radar and PyData logos appear at the bottom.

📢 Call for papers: ClimateNLP workshop at @emnlpmeeting.bsky.social Now in its third edition, #ClimateNLP brings together those working at the intersection of NLP & climate. This October, CPR’s @kdutia.bsky.social will be co-hosting at #EMNLP, one of the world's leading NLP conferences.
Simple square image with light brown background colour, like recycled paper. It reads 'CALL FOR PAPERS' in small centred font, and below that 'ClimateNLP workshop at EMNLP' in bigger font that resembles typewriting. Below the text is the ClimateNLP logo, cut off at the bottom - a circle with two halves - one resembling circuit boards, one resembling similar patterns but with leaves, and a thermometer between them, showing the connection between climate and tech.

Each session at this week's #NatureTechUnconference is shaped by members of a community making real movement towards a nature-positive future. They’ll then be reshaped & remixed by the people in the room.
A graphic with a black background and lots of thin white wavey lines, like ones of latitude and longitude. Over this in big bold white writing "Nature Tech Unconference" and in smaller font "Surfacing the nature data you need with a knowledge graph". To the left, a light orange thick wavey line moves across the side of the graphic, overlaid with a circular image of Arminel Lovell from Climate Policy Radar, her name and company in a small white lozenge. She has curly dark hair just above her shoulders and is smiling, wearing a black shirt. Underneath this is a row of logos for Nature Tech Unconference, LSE, Nature Tech Collective, and Nature Tech Week.

100 Topics. 100 "smart search terms". 100 individual words & phrases connected to a whole web of meaning - related terms, regional variations, expert knowledge - so when you search our 35,000+ climate, nature, & development documents, you can find what matters.
A square tile with a light creamy beige background. The Climate Policy Radar runs along the top, centralised, black font and capital letters, with a blue icon in between the first two words that looks somewhat like a finger print. "Celebrating 100 Topics" is in big italicised font in the middle, and in smaller font below "Richer, more accessible search"

The Chair of Sustainability Transition Policy @fauwiso.bsky.social has launched the Climate Policy Atlas, an #OpenAccess dataset visualising climate & energy policy across the EU & UK, to understand what's driving the #EnergyTransition. Glad CPR's data helped make it possible: climatepolicyatlas.org

Climate Policy Atlas
Welcome to the Climate Policy Atlas: a project presenting high-resolution, curated and open data on energy and climate policies and targets. The Climate Policy Atlas is based on the Climate and Energy Policy Ontology, a structured, semantic framework for organising climate and energy policy instrument data in a consistent and comparable way. The project aims to enable empirical policy analysis and make existing policy data more accessible and interoperable. The Climate Policy Atlas is funded by the German Research Foundation DFG project NFDI4Energy.

Call for papers 📢 We are co-editing a special edition of Climatic Change on how #NLP & AI are being used to drive real #ClimateAction. Edited by researchers working at this intersection inc CPR's Anne Sietsma @franticpedantic.bsky.social. Submit by 30 June: link.springer.com/collections/igbiebchhh
Square image with plain white background. "CALL FOR PAPERS" at the top centre in a navy blue, and in bigger, bold black text beneath this "NLP and AI as climate solutions". The Climatic Change Journal cover image takes up most of the space across the bottom - a wavy line formed of three different shades of blue, a little like a winding river or reminiscent of the sea. The Climate Policy Radar logo is in the bottom left hand corner, which includes a small icon of "radar" signals in blue, almost like a crop of a finger print. The Springer logo is on the bottom right hand corner, which includes a horse head like a chess piece with an orange line beneath that.
