I believe that all ska records, no matter when pressed, should have crackles & pops on them, otherwise they just don't sound right.

Given our recent record the 5th December is a possibility, depending on Blackpool, date of 2nd Round of the FA Cup 😉

This was the pub me & my mates use to drink in pre-match. It was a good old back street boozer. We were there when the police came one Saturday & closed it down. Give them their due, they allowed us to finish our beers before turfing us out. Pretty sure you were there @brooksie1961.bsky.social

Remember being in there years ago with mates and we were talking about the Kelham Island Tavern being voted National pub of the year. Landlord behind the bar pipes up "Not even the best pub in Kelham Island" 😆

Had some kids cherry knocking my door tonight. Thought this was a thing of the past, in a way pleased to see that some young'uns still do it.

He played well but it has to be said that the team they put out included far more youngsters than ours. But a good run out for those who've not really featured for us so far this season.

Backtrack 7 – Mixed Bag. Track Records sampler. Had the likes of Hendrix, Who, Arthur Brown, Thunderclap Newman et al on it. Influenced by older brother who was into this sort of stuff.

Last night at Krankenhaus Festival, Field Music played under the moniker of The Fire Doors, doing a set of Doors tunes. I generally don't bother with covers bands but loving The Doors, with trepidation I went along. Right enjoyable, they do it very well.

Off to Krankenhaus today. After weeks of heatwaves, now it decides to rain. It'll be good for your gardens though.
