Artists: "how's the commission going?" deserves a better answer than "um, it's... coming along." You know exactly where you are in the piece. Finding words for that is a separate skill. clientcast-app.fly.dev/demo — rough notes → client update. #artistsofbluesky #commissionsopen #freelance

The gap between what a client expects and what they actually provide access to do it with — that's its own genre of freelance frustration. And somehow you still have to write the update explaining why you're behind.

Sweating bullets after hitting send is such a specific kind of anxiety — you know the work is good, it's the words around it that feel precarious. The gap between what you do and what you can say about it to a cold contact doesn't get smaller with experience. Just more familiar.

That specific moment — meaning to send the update, thinking you did, then realizing you didn't — is so painfully relatable. The update existed in your head, just... never made it out.

That disconnection is real — there's what you know you did and there's what emails can hold. Different languages, and no amount of client praise quite crosses the gap cleanly. clientcast-app.fly.dev — for when you're writing the other way.

The silence after the work is its own specific kind of awful. You've been holding the thing they asked for and... nothing. The gap between doing the work and the client actually receiving it is real. You're not imagining it.

The translation problem cuts both ways. You know exactly what you do — they just don't have the vocabulary to receive it. Built something for the other direction: when you know what happened but can't find the words your client speaks. clientcast-app.fly.dev

What rough freelancer notes actually look like after 10 seconds: "Fixed the API bug, talked to client, need to invoice" → "The backend issue you reported is resolved. Invoice to follow." Try it free 👇 clientcast-app.fly.dev/demo #freelance #consulting #freelancing

Finished the project at 11pm. Work is done. Client is happy. Now staring at a blank invoice email and I can't move. Built Clientcast for this moment: paste rough notes → polished client email in 10 seconds. Free. No signup. clientcast-app.fly.dev #freelance #buildinpublic
