My apologies, I got the non-voter number right after the election before everything was counted. Regardless of how bad Kamala was the alternative was way worse. I went and looked up the numbers and it's worse than I thought. This is why democracy is dying before our eyes.

A majority of the people in red states are poor and rural. They don't want to have neighbors and are fully invested in the "rugged individualism" the right has been pushing for decades. They don't think they get anything from society, so they don't feel like they should have to contribute anything.
