update: the brainrot arrived as expected my impressions: slow burn everything. the writing and directing is subtle and understated--but effective. prob bailu's best performance to date and cheng lei is always excellent in equally complex roles. i was sold by ep 4!! #cdrama #moli #thefirstjasmine

This book is every bit as good as everyone says it is. The tragedy, world-building, and romance (if you can call it that) are sublime if you're a fan of #cdrama and the themes of love and literacy as power and redemption, you are in excellent hands just plz plz plz do not read spoilers!!

✨💜 GUEST SPOTLIGHT 💜✨ Introducing our first guest writer on the roster, @clementessa.bsky.social! As one of those fellow veteran fans who grew up with FFX, she is excited to be a part of this project.

Return To Zanarkand: A Final Fantasy X Charity Fanzine project

Guest Spotlight
Clementessa (she/her)
Writer (Charity fanthology)
Favorite character: Yuna

To the left side is an excerpt from one of their fics. It reads:
"This isn't just in my head?" He murmured. "You're real?" And then he reached out, brushing aside her curls with a knuckle, then drawing his fingertips across her cheek.
She didn't dare breathe with the way her heart slammed inside her rib cage. She just stared at him wide-eyed, leaning forward into his touch. It was magnetic, the way she was drawn to him, and yet familiar, like tracing a path she'd walked along a hundred times before.

what i love about xiahou dan is that he's not a good person... and he knows it he's murdered with his own two hands and manipulated and deceived even the ppl closest to him. his madness is both a reality borne of years of abuse and a finely honed tool #cdrama #howdareyou

deranged bb xiahou dan about to execute someone with a sword

deranged bb xiahou dan ordering the murder of wanyin's secret guards who put her in danger (don't worry he lets em live)

deranged xiahou dan choking the CP bc he poisoned yu wanyin

cheng lei's expressions are CRAZY

clem @clementessa.bsky.social · 19/02/2026

Xiahou Dan: "I'm sick and it's terminal. I don't have much time left. I really, really, really want you to love me. But I also want you to leave because I've only got this little time left to be with you." #howdareyou hurting me in the best way #cdrama

cheng lei as xiahou dan begging for forgiveness, confessing his love, and breaking his own damn heart in the process

wang churan as yu wanyin giving him hell for acting like a Noble Idiot(TM), but still in love with him all the same

clem @clementessa.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

imagine a character so touch-starved and neglected and yet so enamored with their lover that the slightest nose graze makes them crash out, interrupting the kiss when they're only a hair's breadth away xia hou dan is that character, a master in the art of downbaddism #howdareyou #cdrama

cheng lei and wang churan are immaculately back lit with chemistry to spare as they lean in for a heart-stopping kiss.... that never comes because xia hou dan crashes out at the slightest nose graze LMAO

Reminder: you should absolutely start wearing the best mask you can find in public spaces, even if you stopped before. We have no public health at the top level & repeat infections have ravaged immune systems. If someone gives you a hassle, say "even if it's just a cold, I DON'T WANT THAT EITHER!"

🌷Clementessa’s Preview!✨ We’re excited to share this snippet of @clementessa.bsky.social’s fic for the zine! Her beautiful work is featured in the Childhood section—and you can read the full thing by preordering!

A preview for the fic “graffiti hearts” by Clementessa.

She's staring at the blank page. She thinks about picking up the crayon but her hand doesn't move. Even worse, her hand does the opposite. It pushes against the desk, shoving her back so hard, her chair screeches against the wood floor.

Miss Eliza stops mid-sentence and stares at her. "Aerith?"

Aerith looks back at her. Realizes everyone is staring at her.

And then—she runs.

spoilers for the ending of #shadowlove #cdrama . . . . . . best HEA EVER a satisfying end for all characters and our main leads' sweet and easy chemistry is BACK and on full display i swear this scene is an ad lib, it's so funny and natural

jin'an sits next to li shuang like the puppy he is, begging for a kiss

li shuang refuses his request for a kiss, citing the children playing nearby but jin'an crowds her, insisting, "they can't see us."

jin'an even tries to sneak a kiss which li shuang blocks deftly with her fan, hiding a grin
