Witchtober day six. I imagine she could be the headmistress of a witch academy, where my earlier witches are students. #witch #whimsy #digital #drawing #art #noai #illustration #hautecouture #digitalart #digitalillustration

Okay team, I admit it. Witchtober is whooping me. I’m having fun exploring references but everything falls flat when I actually create a witch. I’m going to stick with it though. Just expect today’s piece… to be the kind you’d put on the side of the fridge facing the wall.

Witchtober day five. Gave myself some more time. I was growing weary of the colourful, almost banal, designs I was pumping out; so I allowed myself to go in a gothic direction with today's piece. I like it. Find this month's Witchtober pieces at my profile! #witch #whimsy #illustration #digital

My daily Witchtober drawings have been a race against a 90-minute time limit but I'm having fun. In order, 90s witch, 00s, 10s, 20s witch. #witch #spooky #halloween #drawing #illustration #2dart #humanart #noai

Witchtober day three. 2000s. Rune scars. Moon belt. W.I.T.C.H colour palette. Speed run. 50 minutes. Huge shout out to the gorgeous TrueRef model whom I referenced today. Good night. See you tomorrow. #witch #fantasy #illustration #2d #procreate #characterdesign #characterillustration.

On occasion, I notice myself getting jealous of people. Jealousy itself perplexes me. On one hand, I feel as though jealousy is frowned upon, but on the other I personally feel it's healthy to diagnose what's dealing psychic damage to you. It brings to mind the quote:

Quote reading: Change what you can, accept what you can't, and be smart enough to know the difference. Attributed to Wally Lamb.

I preordered this Zelda-themed Switch 2 because I’ve been interested in the console for a while and this model is beautiful. However, I am in shock that despite the markup for the unique theme, it doesn’t even include a game.

Listing on an Australian retailer’s website for the upcoming Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2.

Many years ago, I underwent a test to see exactly which nuts I’m allergic to. The answer was: all but almonds. Cut to this week: I unwittingly ate a biscuit with hazelnuts and… didn’t die!? Didn’t suffer so much as a reaction. Am I newly immune to hazelnuts?

When I heard this game comes from CD Project Red alumni, I knew I had to preorder it. No questions asked because I trust them. Can’t wait to play it. Also, it comes with a game world map!!! I used to love collecting those and mounting them on my wall. #TheBloodOfDawnWalker

I don’t care if Grand Theft Auto 6 becomes the greatest video game ever since Breath of the Wild. That game shouldn’t be made at the expense of abusing employees, massive layoffs, union busting, predatory monetization practices, and ceasing the end of physical media. It’s just not worth it.

I’ve downloaded the latest public beta for iOS 27 and Siri’s got me singing to the tune of “Love of the Common People”: “Siri’s gonna shit the bed as much as she can, and she cannnnnn”.

Three Fridays without a blog post. I've been drafting an earnest piece about the internal and external hurdles of being an artist but it's become a knotted mess of ideas. Oh, I feel so goofy. Maybe I'll just do another music review today.

Many of you are asking how you can help me. My only ask is this: Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket and share its content. demdock.com/4w6emld

At a McDonalds getting coffee and a young woman is on a chair posing while her friend squats down and takes her picture. You've heard of "Sir, this is a Wendy's"... "Ma'am this is a McDonald's". Not dimming her light but there's a nice alley right outside, which would be a much nicer background.

Just overheard a teenage boy saying to two friends, “Fuck you, I’m not other people. I’m my own person.” They went quiet after that. Mad respect for his self-worth.

I’m back looking at video games. Specifically, The Blood of Dawnwalker. Why is it I have this itch inside me to pre-order The Blood of Dawnwalker, Wolverine, at full price just to stick it to Sony and prove there's demand for discs, even at full price?
