A majority of us have the "power" to ensure every interaction that we have with others is a pleasant one, but all of us have been snippy with/yelled at strangers, friends, and loved ones. So clearly by this logic, we are all utterly reprehensible.

On top of this, power begetting obligation is an incredibly bleak and pessimistic interpretation of responsibility. It turns the question of an individual's character when they do the right thing from a judgemental of morals to a foregone conclusion. "Of course they did that. They're supposed to."

And to be excessively reductionist, most skills are fostered over a long period of growth and learning, meaning most "power" comes from years of development and training. Does this mean we are all obligated to become superstars because we have time to cultivate that ability?

Most people have a multitude of skills and talents that exceed the average person. The decision on whether or not one particular skill is worth considering (and by extension, morally imposable) is just an arbitrary judgement on what people have decided is important.

To address the questionnlore directly, I think the idea of power begetting responsibility is just a tool used to control other people's behavior. Power manifests in such a broad and speculative scope that it is entirely meaningless to make any assertions as to what people can and can't do with it.
