😌 Should this be my new profile pic
Cartoon drawing of me, looking cuter by far than I did in real life, dressed up for a goth fundraiser and experiencing a theophany eating a slice of the Pagliacci x Taco Time pizza. Art by the inimitable Colleen Frakes.

Morning update. He has disassembled and rebuilt our loveseat and is currently napping peacefully in what I've dubbed "Fort Lonesome"

World's Saddest Dog may never forgive @xolok.bsky.social and me for going to Seattle after work. The dogsitter took this. A devastating indictment of our character.
Photo of a brindle hound sitting and staring mournfully at the camera. Aura of unfathomable despair. Betrayal.

I had a good night as a chameleon, but my finest efforts paled in comparison to @xolok.bsky.social's and the kids'.
Meccha Chameleon screen shot. It's the "Death Burger" map. My husband's chameleon is posed on a clown's hand as a ventriloquist's dummy, dressed just like the clown who's holding him; next to the clown, in a cage, my niece has posed and painted herself as a frolicsome tiger. Their proximity is a coincidence. They did not coordinate this. They're both just exceptionally carnival brained.Meccha Chameleon screen shot. My nephew's blocky chameleon is posed sitting next to a gnome, and he has painted his chameleon to look alarmingly like the gnome. It's beautiful

As a chameleon, eiither I get found immediately, or I win. These two were wins, the green wallpaper one being my first:
Meccha Chameleon screenshot of my chameleon, posed in an L shape, mottled in different shades of gray to blend into an arrangement of stones.Another Meccha Chameleon screenshot. My chameleon is flat against a wall behind a sheer curtain, and I have painted myself in shades of green to blend into the ornate wallpaper. This was my first ever win.

And her candidate statement, possibly ghostwritten by that guy who talked at me at great length and very enthusiastically about the dangers of cell phones while I was trapped on a Seattle to Surrey Greyhound trip in 2005
Photo of a page from the Washington State Voters' Guide. Candidate statement reads: "To serve the people of the 27th Legislative District bring your concerns and thoughts call me. Upholding the state Constitution. Balance the budget yearly, No Income tax, People Vote for their Sheriff, Voter Identification, Prioritizing Public Safety, Support our Law enforcement and tough on crime. Create a business friendly environment. Support Parents Rights. No biological boy/men in girls/womens restrooms, sports and prisons. Stop the cartles from trafficking drugs, human and more. Maintain infrastructure. Protect the natueral [sic] resources and water. No LNG"

Voters' Pamphlet always delivers. (Madness, specifically.) e.g. State Rep. Laurie Jinkins's opponent's elected experience:
Photo of a page from the Washington State Voters' Guide. No photo submitted. Candidate's last name is Braaten (Prefers Republican Party). Her elected experience is: "Preceint [sic] Committee Office/PCO. Union negociator [sic] and representative. Pigeon club Secretary"

It's kind of on me that I didn't put two and two together, honestly
Hotel mirror selfie of me and my husband dressed up for a friend's wedding two months ago. He's dressed like he's off to bargain for a cowboy's soul at the crossroads: black western shirt with red piping and embroidery, and an 8-ball bolo tie.

James Carville here. 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 & 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗞:

This year's midterm elections are shaping up to be some of the closest I've ever seen.

The data shows that Democrats have a REAL chance to flip the Senate - but it's still gonna be a hell of a fight.

With the next FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline coming up in 14 days, we can't mess around. This is the 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 quarterly fundraising report before the election, and we need to give Democratic candidates a huge boost.

By the way, this is the most frightening thing I've ever seen in person.
Photo of a product for sale in the impulse area near the checkout at Safeway. Looks like a child-size tub of cookies (cookies depicted on the label with unpleasant little faces) and the colorful plastic lid is, like, the top half of a cartoon dog's head? Like a mad scientist sawed it clean off to get to the brains within, and then plopped it down on top of a cookie tub for some goddamned reason? I hate it. I think it's Paw Patrol merchandise.

What has caused this? Infowars is ending only in name due to Alex simply rebranding. Is KF ending for an unrelated reason?

It seems like there may have been a bit of a falling out over the Onion opinions. Jordan appears, from his rant and the final episode, that he explicitly finds what the Onion has done to be entirely immoral and a disservice to the victims. Dan doesn’t think so and thinks, if you’re going to parody or take down InfoWars, Tim Onion and the Onion are the best people to do it, especially given had the Onion not bid on it, it would’ve ended up in Roger Stone’s hands and right back to Alex for pennies on the dollar. Both are right in some ways, but this seems to be a moral difference between the two that makes the show unable to continue.
