That's awesome. For me, I remember doing very simple programming with an Uncle on the VIC-20 that was saved to the tape drive. I later programmed some Basic on the Apple II—pretty much just entering in lines of code for very simple games that you'd get in books from the library. It started there!

😂 Too funny, that actually would have been an epic room with all that wood panelling. @lgr-yt.bsky.social would approve! Yeah, I quite enjoyed the Apple II as well.

Sounds like he had a pretty nice battle station with it. I don't recall seeing a TRS-80 or PET back then but I may have. What I remember most is our Commodore VIC-20, Apple II, the Atari 2600's and then the C64's.

Unfortunate to hear. Indeed, we can only hope it went home with someone there with an appreciation for vintage computers, not in the bin!

That'd be pretty wild to see a Commodore PET still deployed within the fleet of computers there! Like those really go back (and I'd love one). I wonder what they used it for and up until when as you say. Cool stuff!

Dr. Chaos is a hybrid action-adventure as it splits between a side-scroller and first person rooms with point-and-click elements. Released for the NES in 1988.

Tombs & Treasure, is an adventure game originally developed by Falcom in 1986 for the PC-88, PC-98, FM-7, MSX 2 and X1. A Famicom version was released in 1988, and was altered to be more story-based, with new music and RPG elements. The English NES version below was published by Infocom in 1991.

Your racism and Islamophobia is hurtful to me and many people (more than you know). Games and this community unite people and it's very diverse and inclusive, but what you've done—and represent in doing so—is the opposite of that. It's inexcusable and people will come to know this about you.

Finally checking out this TSR-80 I got months ago from someone local for next to nothing. It was sitting in their storage since the early 80's. This came out in October 1978.

I was very disappointed to see Jesse on Matt Chat a short while back as Matt has been a go-to for a long time. I get the sense that Matt knows something too, like he's trying to play neutral about it. Well f**k that, there is no being neutral with this. I give Matt a serious downgrade for that.

If going to PRGE, beware of Jesse Petrilla (TechJesse), a known bigot, islamophobe, rightwing grifter on YouTube that's been interviewing folks in the space. Assumption is interviewees must be unknowing of his background. Share the word to bring exposure to him now.

I just fired up Adobe Audition for the first time in a while. I couldn't help but catch the resemblance of the splash page artwork to that of the age-old CBC logo. There's more to say about the splash page artwork, and Adobe (ick) but I'll leave it at that.
