Anyone in #ThunderBay know a good metal drummer that would wanna commit to a project? This is gonna be something special. 🤘🏻💀

One of my long term goals is to publish a D&D module. Complete with a custom world, subclasses, monsters, and a unique world that ties into my visual album. Imagine an overgrown post-post apocalypse, with industrial technology, ancient arcana, cool / unique species, and weapons that level with you

It’s Bandcamp Friday! My music is free to download and enjoy—but if you want to support me today’s the day! My single ArchSummer is the kick off to my upcoming visual album Boon & Bane. A graphic novel + album, written, performed, recorded, and illustrated by yours truly. linktr.ee/classicbobg

I miss when every little website would have a section just for macromedia flash games

I love the idea of using prestidigitation, minor illusion etc to play tricks on a nasty school admin.

D&D one shot idea: Strixhaven but it’s Ferris Beuler’s Day Off.

At karaoke this guy, clearly on acid, sung no time by the guess who and just ranted how he had “no time for facebook” Then 2 girls went up–so drunk that neither could sing and just pushed the mic back and forth while laughing. From the back of the bar I heckled “bring back the facebook guy!”

GMed my first Obojima game for some previous 5e players of mine. I already love this game so much. The cozy Ghibli vibes are absolutely perfect 🫶🏻

Maybe now’s the time to start my anti-capitalist artist collective. 🤔

I feel that – my relationship with my artistic journey is at a presipice I think. I don’t know what that means practically, but I do know that social media is not designed for me and the ways I want to connect with people through my work. I need to return to it soon.

010

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 27/12/2025

Needed to hear that today, thank you

I’m done with casual cover bands My next band I’m going to go hard. Something moving, and artistic that hits you right in the feels. I want you to think about my art for days after you saw the show. Im thinking stage persona like Sleep Token, Gaerea, and Daft Punk.

Remember when MMO players really screwed up their economy - and devs had to invent a secondary currency to fix it? We should do that, except this second currency is based on labour value theory.

Question for my artist friends: Do you ever feel “over it”? Like your practice feels selfish, juvenile, and naive? That making art just feeds capitalistic greed, ai algorithms, and an over stiumulated audience? Any tips on challening that feeling? Asking for a friend…

Just got a new reverb plugin by Benn Jordan — crazy excited to mess around with it to create some huge ambience and atmosphere

Not surprised. Though this does explain the music I’ve been writing lately…

I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of “fans” or “followers” I strive to build a community of creatives that add to the collective, contribute, interact, and support each other.

I want to have my own Neural DSP plugin one day. It would absolutely rip.

Just a thought… What if the entirety of the modding community came together to make the worlds most comprehensive community built video game?

010

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 12/11/2025

Been toying around with the idea of writing a soundtrack to a video game that doesn’t exist Just to prove I could if I ever got the opportunity

010

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

video game idea Hexen remake but in the style of Doom 2016 its a grim dark fps and you’re a wizard flying around throwing fireballs and shit to a Mick Gordon sound track

010

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

Knock-on-wood I am SO close to starting a new metal band and it’s all I can think about. 💀🤘🏻

Making art is hard. When you’ve been working on the same project for a long time it’s easy to lose perspective – lose the reason you wanted to create in the first place. Your work is still important, still valid, still cool. Keep going.

Me going to a metal show in my 20s: wearing Bodom tshirt, stumble in drunk, moshing, going outside to smoke weed Metal show in my 30s: Coffee at 3pm to stay up, brings ear plugs, water cause Im DDing, back of bar nodding in approval, going outside cause over heated

My latest dnd campaign has a spagetti western / epic blues sound track and it gives me chills. Think Borderlands 1 meets Firefly set in Planescape / Spelljammers / Darksun (but not problematic)

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

I havent listenned to poppy in a LONG time! I always love mixing metal with different musical elements. I’m an especially big fan of fem fronted metal projects

010

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

Right!? The main composer David Maxim Micic is a huge influence on my own song writing - the way he ebbs and flows between ambient and bone crushing, hits my brain just right. She works with him on his solo stuff too They also had a band called Destiny Potato thats very similar. Big recommend!

010

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

If I could start any band right now it would be a progmetal pop flavoured female fronted artrock band. I just wanna be in Sordid Pink.

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Session 0 for the new dnd campaign was a damn fun time. Ive learned so much as a DM over the years, and my players have become incredible to have at the table. Including them in the world building and setting has been such a pleasure. Campaign 2 is gonna be buck wild.

030

Bob Gravelle @classicbobg.bsky.social · 25/03/2025

Nothing brings me mote delight than the note takers at my dnd table. You don’t HAVE to engage with the lore to have a good time - but I promise there will be spectacular pay off.
