I heavily relate to @noahkahan.bsky.social in his newest album The Great Divide. Especially the line “see the bugs” in a song about camping. Exactly! He knows what’s up.

If you’ve deleted Facebook, you’re not missing much. I randomly get notifications about groups I should join that have zero connection to me. I’ve never been a student at Michigan State nor would I need to join a group of 18-22 year olds looking for roommates. Creepy if you ask me.

The problem with April Fools day in the wake of social media algorithms is it’s more misinformation than a fun trend. I’m getting posts fed to me a week later so for the first 15 seconds it’s not obvious the info or photo is a joke.

Just preordered a vinyl from my favorite band. Due to either tariffs or some other international import tax, it went from $45 to $79. Ouch. Still willing to pay that for a Haevn symphonic album.

Blooming Corpse Plant at the local gardens. Surprised the smell wasn’t stronger but it was the humidity inside the greenhouse that almost did me in.

This is the first cyber truck that is interesting to me. I can see it being in a Jurassic World movie with its military-adjacent style. But I’d also enjoy watching a sauropod stomp it on the big screen.
A cyber truck that’s been wrapped in a camo green vinyl so it’s no longer reflective sitting in a Home Depot parking lot.

Every car wash (3 different ones) I’ve been to in the last three years there’s been an attendant at the paying kiosk who tries to upsell me or get me to pay for subscription-like service. It’s wildly inappropriate in my opinion. Like I can press the touch screen and insert my card without your help?

Previous to the FDA, folks would put chalk and plaster of Paris in milk to make it appear white. They could also add formaldehyde to cover the smell and taste of spoiled milk.

After spending all their adult life at sea, the container ship seeks out the estuary where they were born to mate and lay their eggs. It’s a perilous journey and not all ships make it to their spawning grounds.

The safest way to remove a tick is grasp a tick firmly with tweezers and pull it out. This minimizes chances of the tick regurgitating anything into you (increases chances of disease transmission). No fingernail polish, matches, or essential oils. Details: newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/discussion/m...
a 4 step diagram to removing a tick: 1. use tweezers to lift the tick from your skin. 2. grasp the tick firmly at the base, where it meets your skin. 3. Yank that sucker out! 4. Wash with soap and water.

Rabies is nearly 100% fatal if you don’t get the post-exposure prophylaxis vaccine. I’ve seen way too many videos online of people capturing them bare-handed or saying they woke up to it in their bedroom without immediately going to the hospital to get treatment.
