Happy #kidlitartpostcard day! I've been having so much fun creating collages of cute fruit! I think they would make a fun board book. Hi! I'm Claire, and I'm interested in board books, picture books, early readers, and graphic novels. My agent is @mccarthylit.com #kidlitpostcard

A line of four collaged fruits that are in a cartoonish style. From left to right are a green pear, half a watermelon, strawberry, and orange. All have pink cheeks and are smiling. The pear and orange have leaves on their stems. Above text reads "Claire Lordon illustrator, designer, and author. Represented by Sean McCarthy. www.clairelordon.com" in an orange fun font

They are holding a flower with an angry worm on it. A bouquet of flowers in the other hand. The crow is walking along a path in a park. There are puddles, and a snail with an umbrella. There is another orange worm next to a bunch of flowers growing out of the ground. There is a cherry blossom tree in the right that has blossoms falling. Bushes and trees are in the foreground and background. There is a rainbow in the sky. It is raining. On the bottom has the text "Claire Lordon" "Represented by Sean McCarthy" "www.clairelordon.com"

Ugh! Just spent an hour trying to figure out why I couldn’t draw. Apparently the new Wacom driver won’t work with my older Cintiq. I had to delete it and reinstall an older driver. Now I’m worried about updating my computer….

I'm rereading a few pieces I wrote in college to use as examples of my history in an upcoming presentation for tweens. I honestly can't remember most of the pieces I wrote. Honestly? They're quite good. I can't believe I wrote them!

Update! Hugo's biopsy results came back and he does not have cancer!! Unfortunately, he's still sick, but we know what's going on. He will be on medication for about a year and should live a normal lifespan. BEST NEWS EVER!

This project is inspired of my love for all things cute, and was specifically inspired by sumikko gurashi and Bluey. I'm imagining it as a series of short stories celebrating love, friendship, and dogs.

I'm excited to announce a redesign of my website www.clairelordon.com! I realized that my old website was very minimal and lacking in personality. The rebranding took more time than I anticipated, but I'm very pleased with the outcome. It now feels more like an extension of myself and my artwork⭐ 🧡
