Trying to turn the grassy patch between the yard and woods into a native wildflower meadow is going well overall, but the fact that a new invasive is always showing up is exhausting. Plus the creepy little ticks are bad right now so it’s hard to stay motivated to weed. #gardening #nativeplants

There’s a scam that targets new pawpaw growers. It’s selling root suckers, often poached from public land harming established trees. This is a healthy pawpaw seedling grown from seed. That tap root is huge and essential to long term survival and is missing from root suckers! #pawpaw #nativeplants

In our garden in Anne arundel county Maryland the lemon boy tomatoes continue to be the highest producing. They are ripening when it’s too hot for others and the plants still look healthy. The Norfolk purple cherry plants are almost dead from fungal disease. #gardening #tomatoes #food #produce

Today’s harvest. I overloaded my bowl and then tripped and fell trying to save the veggies from falling out. I bruised my shin and split a cucumber. I may need to invest in a large basket for harvesting. #gardening
