😱😱😱 And just like that, it’s completely VANISHED from the media. A sitting congressman, Ted Lieu, said on the record the Epstein files are being blocked because they show Trump raped and threatened to kill children. Lets make this viral again 👇

This needs to be a much bigger story. "Those officials said some Pentagon personnel knew within hours that the United States had hit the school, and they described a cascade of preventable failures that included an overreliance on an AI tool built by Palantir."

"For years we've focused on how much people sit. Our findings suggest we should also pay attention to what they're doing while they're sitting," says biologist David Raichlen from the University of Southern California. Seems kind of basic.

Ooh that looks great. I’ve always been interested in that topic—there are so many references to landscape in the novels and they tie back to the characters and the vogue for reconfiguring parkland in such interesting ways.

Or we can flip this around and recognize Austen’s great achievement in creating a character who still seems real to readers 200 years later. I love that people still care about these books.

Claire Denelle Cowart @clairedenelle.bsky.social · 29/06/2026
I totally agree with that, and Darcy’s social awkwardness may reflect behavior that Austen saw in people she knew. But he is a created character and the novel specifically identifies his great flaw as pride, so I think we have to consider that a driver of his behavior too.

Claire Denelle Cowart @clairedenelle.bsky.social · 29/06/2026
Possibly. I see how he can be read as autistic but I think it’s also important to consider Austen’s intentions.
