In 2019 we surveyed over 400 designers on what makes design effective. With Covid and AI changing how we work, it's time to take the temperature again. If you're a designer or design-adjacent, we'd love your help with our 7-minute Design Effectiveness survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/RTTG77C

Not my usual kind of conference, but it was fantastic to co-present a design workshop with our clients at UCL, having helped them with their research into digital exclusion. We co-designed an app to help people with longterm health conditions, and are currently co-writing a handbook on inclusivity.

In countries like Australia, public events open by acknowledging the indigenous peoples of the land. Similarly, a law should be passed so that anyone espousing the virtues of AI should begin by acknowledging the copyrighted material stolen and the wilful damage to the environment.
