She had no idea and clearly hadn’t done the work. It was incoherent BS. There wasn’t any way to give her points and maintain rigor. The professor and I met with her. He said he wouldn’t make it go away, but he’d mitigate it if she did well from here out. She took the lesson and got a C in the class.

I got to interview Merritt about his hyperacusis a year or so ago. The sound of a drum kit put him in terrible pain, so he had to reinvent what he did. Hearing damage forced him to create his spare sound.
