It is so satisfying to look out at that Washington skyline and know you've had a part in its making. Now through climate work we have a chance to build a new America.”East St. Louis Illinois: Corey is a graduate of the Climate Works Pre-Apprenticeship Program, which opens doors to union apprenticeships for communities across Illinois to train an inclusive and equitable clean energy workforce. Thanks to the training program, Corey is a union carpenter apprentice and framer, working on projects throughout the St. Louis region.
Queens, New York: "With all the extreme weather we’re seeing, it’s clear that climate change is affecting our livelihoods. As an IBEW Local 3 apprentice, I believe it’s important that union workers who are trained to do the job right lead the way on renewable energy because we only have one planet for us and our families.”
