The defense is what it is, but the baserunning has also been the best it’s been in a while (which is funny given the pinch runner stuff that happened a while ago) I know SF hoped for more superstar production, but that’s at least star level offense

I really liked this flex action from the UNDEFEATED Chicago Bulls. Trae Young tags Williams on the cross screen but is way behind on the Giddey/Huerter pindown. Daniels sees it and picks Huerter up, but that leaves Giddey open for the floater.

Jonas Valančiūnas already flashing his value to the Nuggets. Makes a great pass out of the high post to a cutting Bruce Brown.

I've thought about this play plenty since yesterday. Curry draws two and relocates to the corner. Ayton tells Luka to pick him up. Payton sets a screen to prevent a closeout. Draymond fakes the pass to Curry to get Luka in the air, opening up the Payton cut. Good stuff all around.

Gave this a watch for the first time with that Ironheart show coming out, and it was really good. I don't know why I waited so long to get to it.

A couple of possessions later, the Spurs go back to this pindown. Turner struggles to get around the screen again (as most bigs do) but this time, McConnell helps off of Paul, but this leaves the future HOFer open.

Same play, different result: The Spurs run a pindown for Victor Wembanyama. The Pacers seemingly don't want to switch this with TJ McConnell, so Myles Turner has to fight around the Chris Paul screen. Then, we get the mind-bending highlight!

This is an excellent pass out of a post double team.

I've missed watching Zion Williamson on a basketball court (side note: good initial D by Murray and what a lazy screen by Randle).

A sequence I liked from yesterday's Knicks/Magic game: Knicks are looking to switch Brunson onto Mo Wagner (and off of Suggs). Orlando denies it, but Brunson counters with an excellent pass to Sims. Issac has the timely rotation as the low man, but McBride is there for a safety valve 3.

Chris Jeter @cjeter91.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

This encapsulates everything great about Daniels' defense: slips around the Theis screen, uses his length to prevent the pass to Theis at the nail, and when Young gambles on a pass to Javonte Green, he teleports over to strip him mid-layup attempt.

Chris Jeter @cjeter91.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

I wanted to try out posting some NBA clips on this app, so here's the Atlanta Hawks' future super defender Dyson Daniels sliding through a pin-down and using his length to slide into the passing lane for a steal.
