part of my day job includes understanding very boring bits of law, including for the US at the moment. Anyway, it's cool that Colorado has this header on the top of their bills.

It’s nearly Halloween, and what’s spookier than being pursued by monsters for the rest of your life? Follow the KS in the link below!

Answering the most important questions about The Girl With The Most Delicious Heart, including "but I'm not a girl?" www.kickstarter.com/projects/bey... #ttrpg #roleplayinggames #sologames Published with @beyondcataclysm.co.uk
Other Questions

But I’m not a girl?

You’re not an elf, viking, dragon-kin, sentient slime, or space marine either, but that didn’t stop you.

We argue that there is an equal  wealth of literature about ‘being a 13 year old girl and facing trouble’ as there is about ‘elves and associated beings’. Possibly quite a lot more when you think about it.

But this makes me uncomfortable for some reason?

Okay, when you get your copy please cross out wherever it says ‘girl’ and replace it with ‘boy’ or ‘elf’ or whatever you would like. It is your game and your experience. Much like the central message of the game itself: this is your life to live.In years where you are not hunted, you will try and build yourself a better life. Here you'll navigate making new friends, finding better ways to protect yourself, and seek to discover new artefacts to aid you.

You'll attempt to build the network of friends and found-family that a runaway needs to put down some roots. Get a job, make friends, find new and novel ways to protect yourself. Enjoy the brief respite of living your own life free of fear.

Importantly, it doesn't always work. The friends that you hope to make might slip away from you. This is as interesting as the first time you meet the person who will be your best friend. You can choose to find or build new protections, whether that's physical fortifications, guards on the payroll, or even later – should you survive to see your legend grow – standing armies. Artefacts might elude your grasp and eventually, with enough research and exploration, finally be yours. They can be the weapon that defeats your hunters – or they may be the only thing you can carry when your new home burns.

These years play like a classic 'slice of life' story, as you discover that the people around you are your best defence against a world that's out to get you.During years where you are hunted you'll journal about how you stayed safe, and what was sacrificed to keep you from being eaten.

You'll make rolls against the scale of the monster, and if you fail you have a choice of fleeing or fighting. If you fight, you will have to sacrifice protections, friends and artefacts to avoid being eaten.

The better prepared you are, better your chances of victory. The better prepared you are, the more you have to lose.

Using a simple D6 system, players will make choices about when stand and fight, and when to escape and start again. An exploration of The Girl With The Most Delicious Heart...

What’s it like?

It’s like playing hide and seek, for the rest of your life.

But what’s it really like?

It’s about being a girl who is being hunted by monsters because they know she literally has the most delicious heart in all of the world. From my understanding, this is basically what it’s like being a girl.

It’s a journaling game a little like Thousand Year Old Vampire, but simpler, shorter, and smaller. It's a bit '45 year old vampire'.

A long time ago, just after we moved in, we believed this was pretty close to peak decoration. Now obviously there’s no bikes, and it’s most kids stuff and board games (both an improvement on bikes for insulation)

It is well known that the sweetest part to eat of any living thing is its heart. There’s only one. And it is the last part that any living thing will give up. And this is known to monsters too. Fellow authors: without any context, what's the first line of your current WIP?

I read one of my childhood books to my daughter the other day. Dragon Tales by John Patience. So much of it is about how the dragons have gone away, or how there's only one, or about their loneliness. And I wondered if any tabletop games used dragons as 'creatures of loss' in this way?

Unsure if you’re serious, but did you read Pen Parade by Hallie Bateman? She did nicely drawn reviews and also fun stuff like this:
An edition of Hallie Bateman’s Pen Parade, about writing with a carrot dipped in ink. 2014.

4) I do resign.
