To end factory farming, we need to be eating more plants. Swipe through for some of the benefits of adding more plants to your plate 👉 #WorldVegetarianDay
A green background features a white circle with text reading, "Why you should eat more plants this World Vegetarian Day." A fork holds a piece of broccoli at the top, and three carrots with green tops are positioned at the bottom left. Greenhouse gas emissions chart for six diets: High Meat Eater (7.19 kg), Medium Meat Eater (5.63 kg), Low Meat Eater (4.67 kg), Fish Eater (3.91 kg), Vegetarian (3.81 kg), Vegan (2.89 kg) in terms of CO2 equivalents per day per person. Text below highlights that the livestock sector contributes to 14.5% of human-induced greenhouse gases, and reducing meat and dairy consumption can lower emissions.Infographic showing how 100 calories of grains fed to animals result in humans receiving only 3-25 calories in meat. Illustrations of grains, a chicken, a pig, and a cow are depicted. Text highlights global grain waste, noting the UK uses over half its grain for animal feed, wasting 8.3 million tonnes—more than the UK's 6.4 million tonnes of household food waste. Infographic showing capsules with silhouettes of a chicken, cow, and pig. Text states, "Globally, around 70% of all antimicrobials are used in farm animals." Additional text discusses dependency on antimicrobials in industrial livestock production due to poor conditions.

This #FLWDay, we're highlighting one of the biggest inefficiencies in our food system. For every 100 calories of grain fed to animals, just 3-25 calories of meat are produced. We need a food system that works for people, animals and the planet. 🌍

"All farming is the same"... except it isn't. Farmed animals experience very different lives depending on how they're raised. That's why ending factory farming is so important. If you're buying animal products, look for regenerative, organic and free-range options whenever you can. ✅
A tiered chart titled "Ranking Types of Farming" displays five categories from top to bottom: Regenerative, Free-range, Higher welfare indoor, Indoor, and Cages. Each category includes relevant images of farm animals such as cows, chickens, and pigs. The categories are color-coded with S in red at the top and D in green and C in blue.
