Tonight, we've got the second-to-last primaries of the year in Rhode Island. We're likely to see Dan McKee - the incumbent governor - be primaried by Helena Foulkes, following the fallout over the prolonged Washington Bridge closure. As usual, I'll post results as they come in!

There are a few reasons for the GOP/Indie improvements, mainly stemming from Republicans being less wary of VBM following the 2024 elections and a recent surge of Independent voters in North Carolina since 2022. Democrats also seem to be turning out on Election Day in higher numbers this cycle.

In short, Democrats have improved on their 2024 early vote request numbers, but are doing worse than 2022, while the opposite holds true for GOP. Independents have improved across the board. Requests tend to get redder as election day gets closer - we'll see if that holds true this year.
