Reading order is as important as image description for #a11y. For InDesign #eprdctn users, Circular Software has you covered.

Reading Order Tools panel showing buttons in two categories.
Reading Order category has Auto define reading order, Manually define reading order, Amend or clear reading order, Set markers visibility.
Region Navigation category has List reading order objects, Make panel from selected rows, Create page panel mask, Preview panels, Delete panels and panel masks.

Thinking about this line from 'HItchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' today for some reason 😀

Quote from Douglas Adam - Extract from HItchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
“There’s no point in acting surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now. … What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven’s sake, mankind, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout. Energize the demolition beams.”

To me, a screenreader pausing for purely positional and/or stylistic span tag in RFL or FXL EPUB is a bug. But the bug is in the screen reader, not the file. That fact that the issue is not heard with JAWS but only with NVDA seems to confirm this is an NVDA bug. github.com/nvaccess/nvd... #eprdctn
