Reposted by /dave/nullstacksmashing @stacksmashing.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I got the original, unmodified Commander Keen running on the Pico 2 😀 This uses Frank-x86, a new ILI9341 driver, and (ab)uses the flash on the Pico 2 as swap RAM (which I'm sure is great for it's longevity - sorry, didn't have a PSRAM at hand) Next: Input support! 1211
/dave/null @circuitbreakr.bsky.social · 06/10/2026PSA: #Vivado works amazingly well on the command line! I would have never expected that, but it's a joy being able to script / automate all my Vivado workflows now. #fpga 010

/dave/null @circuitbreakr.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Another point to add: sometimes you don't know yet what kinds of music you like. And sometimes you don't like an artist at first but it grows on you over time. All this is lost if you just have AI generate music (or any kind of content) tailored to "what you already like". 010

/dave/null @circuitbreakr.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Actually I‘m not looking to make a local coding assistant or anything like that, but rather an automated tool that does basic web scraping / searching (I don’t know the URLs, it has to find them). A fairly small and local model should suffice. 100

/dave/null @circuitbreakr.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Is there still no cool, easy to install way to run a small local AI model that is "somewhat agentic" i.e. it can look up stuff online in its own little sandboxed web browser? 100
