We had a wonderful summer at Circlewood! Our two amazing interns planted natives, created trails, wrote insightful pieces, hosted groups, and made the case for a permanent intern program at Circlewood. Our pond attracted frogs, salamanders, owls, deer, raccoons, and people.

During our annual board retreat, this barred owl joined our meeting for almost half an hour before catching and eating this snake! It was a timely, beautiful, and intimate moment with our creature neighbors at Circlewood. We are thankful!

At the end of July, we welcomed a camping and field trip for Au Sable Institute's International Development and Environmental Sustainability class. College students from around North America were joined at Circlewood by Rick Faw and David Anderson of A Rocha Canada, and by our friend Christine Sine.
