again, I don't hate palworld, I just think it's a mediocre game because pocketpair just didn't know what it wanted and could barely keep its scope intact, and the game suffers as a result. the people who defend it are also often weird little freaks with a hard-on for the shock value aspects

*hopefully* pocketpair can get their shit together now that they're mostly publishing and the dev studio can work on smaller games like never grave (which looks pretty good) because their massive-scope games aren't good and aren't fun to play

palworld is their best game but that's like the lowest possible bar considering their other games are a bafflingly incoherent card game and a game that's stuck in EA, and that's not even touching the literal AI art game. that doesn't make palworld good, in fact it explains a lot of my issues with it
