According to oil industry expert, Mr. Global, Trump has yet to convince oil companies to spend money to restore the oilfields in Venezuela, so he is using taxpayer money to buy a stake in their oil fields to incentivize US oil companies for what is likely only a 20 to 30-billion barrel oil reserve.

What’s your opinion about all of the straight, powerful, politically well-connected men who molested young girls with Epstein? The number of trans in this country is 0.001%of the population, not enough to worry about when criminals who have harmed children have yet to see the inside of a courtroom

Not to mention the fact that Venezuela has, for decades, overvalued it’s oil. According to oil industry expert, Mr. Global, they might have a 20-30 billion barrel oil reserve, but not much more.

Texas voters have until October 5th to make sure their voter registrations are in order, which we should all do in every state to make sure our voter registrations haven’t mysteriously been removed. If there is an issue with your registration, you can go ahead and vote with a provisional ballot.

Purity politics will only bring to pass what Lincoln said about a house divided. Remember how we all celebrated the Republicans in 2024 who crossed the line to vote for Democrats. They did so for the sake of the country. That’s what Democrats have to do this year. It’s vote blue no matter who.

Do you really believe Congress is afraid of Donald Trump, or, perhaps, they are more afraid of the billionaires whose agendas litter the pages of Project 2025— their donors? Trump is the ringmaster, not the ring leader. Republican donors are controlling our government and running the show.

Are we really still talking about Platner? Is he still a thing? Time to move on. On the other hand, is it time to raise hell about the members of Trump’s cabinet who were part of Epstein‘s bad-boy club?

Republicans continued to give Democrats more and more campaign ammunition. I can’t believe they cut Medicare part D right before the midterms.

Dwight Eisenhower knew how important Social Security was. In a 1954, in a letter to his brother Edgar he stated that “…any political party attempting to abolish Social Security, unemployment insurance, or eliminate labor laws and farm programs would cease to exist in American politics.”

So we should just overlook the fact that Susan Collins voted to put someone credibly accused of sexual misconduct on the Supreme Court—someone who went on to vote as a member of SCOTUS to eliminate a woman’s right to choose?

When the Occupy Wall Street movement first emerged many years ago, the media refused to cover it, even after tens of thousands of New Yorkers eventually got out on the streets to join the protest. It wasn’t until ABC Evening News featured a short story on it that the Occupy movement went viral.

Yes, but Comey wasn’t indicted in 2020 when Trump was still president (and before the election). Of course, by then, Trump was pinning all of his hopes on John Durham uncovering something earth shattering in his Russia investigation.

I think Comey was an equal- opportunity fucker. Biden didn’t prosecute him because there wasn’t any evidence. Ultimately, there’s that pesky little thing called evidence. The DOJ ordinarily will not seek an indictment for any case it can’t win. A jury won’t convict without evidence.

Kyle, perhaps you could explain. If Comey was guilty of anything substantial enough to indict, then why wasn’t he indicted and tried during Trump’s first term in 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020?

I’m surprised if Comey was indicted; however, we shouldn’t forget that Special Counsel John Durham was able to secure two indictments in his Russia investigations with flimsy evidence brought against Michael Sussmann and Igor Danchenko, both of whom were quickly exonerated by trial juries.

Trump once demanded Andrew McCabe be prosecuted, and Barr’s DOJ tried unsuccessfully to convince a grand jury to indict. Lately, grand juries have been demonstrating they have highly functional BS filters when it comes to the standard of evidence they need to bring back a true bill for indictment.

Charles Darwin’s theory of “survival of the fittest” wasn’t just referring to the biggest or strongest of a species but also the most clever and intelligent. Those who are dumb enough to take medical advice from unproven, non-peer reviewed sources are most certain to prove Darwin’s theory correct.

It wasn’t the Fairness Doctrine or that Reagan‘s FCC was dismantling the regulations that stemmed from that doctrine or his veto of a Fairness Doctrine law in 1987; it was the media consolidation that grew out of that period and the pushing of a more conservative messaging and growth of propaganda.

It’s time blue states do exactly the same thing. If Democratic states don’t start playing by the same rules Republicans play by, our democracy will be farther behind than it is already.

I hate to point this out, but if Trump puts troops in Afghanistan, it’s going to reduce the overall number he will have available to suppress cities in blue states. There are fewer than 3 million in the US military, not nearly enough to fight a war (or two) and control blue states.
