Doodled in honour of clearly your favourite episode of all time.

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Funnily enough I started watching this this morning! I saw from some of the original sketches, the placement of the engineering room continues to be up to interpretation, Mr Cushman also brings up the scaling being 288M in the original but logically having to be much larger to fit the actual sets.

Working on this week's lore video for the Weekend got me looking over my shoulder... #startrek #snw

That's one way to settle the debate as to whether Trelane was a Q. Yes, it says so right there!

The use of phasing to erase the board state so long as Edith Keeler exists is a perfect encapsulation of the City on the Edge of Forever.

Ouch. Good flavour for the @magic.wizards.com x Star Trek crossover.

From what I gather, generally nacelles are usually filled with tech like the warp coils and in TOS, they were envisioned as creating a lot of radiation, somewhere you would not want to work 24/7, hence them being held away from the vessel on pylons. (Plus the Core powers more than just the engines)

Yo? I cannot think of a more fitting Star Trek Survival Horror protagonist than Ro Laren. youtu.be/K2hcks9X50E

Thanks, I've sent a bunch of takedown requests, but Tiktok is unlikely to do anything.

Haha! Thank you, I'm glad I was able to do the work justice! Really enjoying the evolving mysteries around these numerous alternate Borg origins!

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

That certainly is, thank you for bringing it to my attention!

Overlaying the starchart we saw in STFA Ep.9 onto my ongoing map of the Trek Galaxy, shows that the Venari-Ral occupy a stretch of space between former Tzenkethi and Breen territory against the Cardassian border. Explains why they were near the badlands and Bajor! #StarTrek

You can justify it with all the tech in the universe, but at the end of the day, the Romulans put wings on their ships because they love sweeping camera angles and are an undeniably dramatic bunch.

That's such a cool cutaway! I've not stumbled across this one before, thanks for showing it to me!

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 06/12/2025

On of my points was that it does have a core nowadays with retconned lore, when originally it was much more vague. heh. More Core Lore. What schematic is that from, it looks great? Looks like it follows the Drexler design of placing engineering between the nacelles but I cannot tell?

Thank you very much! I try to keep them balanced between lore sources, but almost conversational in tone.

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 28/09/2025

Glad to hear this and continue to boldly go

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

So with the @magic.wizards.com and Star Trek crossover, this is going to be a reprint right?

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

He's gotta be Dimir. No, my mistake. Monowhite, after all, he's a just a humble tailor.

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 11/07/2025

Okay so Youtube's "Inspiration" feature just smooshes together ideas with AI analytics and I mostly ignore it. But... sometimes its comedy gold.

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 01/07/2025

I enjoyed the overall "feel" of Kirk in this one. Seemed like as he was growing closer to the time (if not reality) of the original series I was seeing more of that original character I knew emerge. That and delirious Spock's genuine laughter spooking McCoy.

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 25/05/2025

Well, that's one way to avoid social interaction. I just wanted to capture some nice B-roll...

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 24/05/2025

That's such a cool addition and makes it seem so much more functional! After all the real world decals must exist for similar safety reasons and such and translating them over brings that realism and storied history with it

040

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 23/05/2025

I love the details of @tumerboy.bsky.social model Type 14 Shuttlecraft. The decals, in particular the 'No Step' sign on the nacelle. I can only imagine the numerous scoldings that must have led to this being placed on a shuttlecraft from grouchy shuttlebay operators. "GET OFF THE NACELLES!"

Thank you! I'm an avid fan of your channel too! Pretty sure I noticed a Worf mug and a Type-2 phaser in the background on most of your shows too! :D

010

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 08/05/2025

That's because Jadzia and Worf were so damn cool.

150

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

Sorry to say that in canon we have no Enterprise vessels for this timeframe! So We'll have to see what get's created if we ever visit it in a series. Even the Enterprise-J might end up being replaced however, as it was only seen in a future timeline that could be overwritten by temporal war events!

So just saw the last Doctor Who episode and that's definitely the kind of episode ... I can get behind. 😐

Getting into Magic The Gathering the same year I move into a new place may have been a mistake... you know... I can do without food, gimmie the cardboard.

It's always the Iconians behind it

020

Ric Hill @cingame.bsky.social · 05/03/2025

That's a pretty wide net... I'm a sucker for making it fair so my ultimate showdown would have to be things from the same era(ish). An Odyssey vs a D7 wouldn't exactly be fair so... Probably D'Deridex, Negh'Var, Inquiry, Dominion Cruiser and a Borg Sphere for everyone to gang up on first.
