Such an upstanding, principled choice by Republicans to have Nixon resign instead of having the Presidency taken from him and he taken to prison. So the people could 'move on' - people like, say, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, they could go on with their lives. THAT worked out well, didn't it?
