We also had a USL player on the show who said that Koch once used a couple of screenshots to ream out another player during a video session about being out of position. They thought it was fishy so they went back to the game tape later, and Koch had edited the screenshots to move where the ball was.

To put it another way, the January EPL transfer window for 2024-25 was 34 days (inclusive), and the summer window was 78 days (inclusive). Together, that's 112 days, which is exactly 16 weeks. They're having the same exact 78-day summer window this year, plus the June 1-10 window on top of it.

That seems like an explanation for why they just didn’t keep it open the whole time. (And the FIFA reg says it’s up to the FA.) Why is the window the exact same length as last year? The reason is obviously not the CWC. Also, we don’t have to interpret BBC articles we can just read the regs.

I don't think any of this is right. The 2024 Premier League window was June 14 to August 30. That's 78 days, inclusive. The 2025 window is June 16 to September 1. That's 78 days, inclusive. Nothing in the regs that I see require a shortened main window and none of the other leagues are doing it.

Question. FIFA passed a rule allowing federations to establish an “exceptional additional registration period” ahead of the Club World Cup from 6/1 to 6/10. The release said it would apply to “all affiliated clubs” within a federation. Have USSF or MLS announced anything on this yet?
