I was having my ankles devoured by mosquitoes so I didn't notice at the time, but I took these pics about 15-20 minutes apart and you can kinda see the progression.

A sliver of the eclipsed moon pretty well at 12 o'clock

The sliver of moon is now rotated slightly counterclockwise, so the visible sliver is more towards 11 o'clock now.

The moon is close to occulted (occluded? Blocked?) and my phone camera kind of spread it out like almost giving the appearance of an accretion disk. Tree limbs and leaves frame the almost lunar eclipse.

Today's highlights from the yard.

A frog floats near some green ivy in a little landscaped water feature.

A young marmot raiding the birdseed. This one is kind of a khaki tan around the face and jaw that blends to a darker brown across most of the rear end getting black in a band around the marmot's body like a wide belt under his front legs and extending about halfway down the torso. They're really cute, sort of like a bigger guinea pig.

Tony the stray cat is a male tuxedo cat with a clipped ear a milky left eye and a black nose. He's a sweetheart.

Last Tuesday I was feeding Tony the Stray some dinner when I noticed a UAP hung up in a tree by the driveway. Yesterday, Youngest was watching Norway v England with me and happened to see it come down. I retrieved it, missing the first Norwegian goal. What was it? Paper funerary (sp?) lantern.

Tony the Stray nomming on his dinner. He's a larger tuxedo cat eating some wet food from a little paper plate on the aggregate sidewalk in front of the house. There's a little blue bowl of water, but he never drinks from it.

As previously mentioned, my directv shows me all types of odd sports because of some viewing habits I exhibited. Pillow Fight Championship is on the Ohco rn. It's pretty much what you think, players score points by making contact cleanly with the pillow, kinda like boxing.
