I AGREE, and I don’t hate or have a vendetta against dogs but I’m very weary of strays and share similar feelings when I see them being destructive or rowdy. A few strays wander into my work cafe and run around inside. I gotta keep them from getting behind my counter 🫠

Dog fatigue is a thing and dog owners being irresponsible with training their dog decently definitely doesn’t help. It enrages me to see dog owners not keep their pets on a leash in public, or when they get rowdy with other’s cats and smaller pets.

One of the biggest myths is that men rape by mistake. Like, "Oh, they need consent training." But research is very clear: Sexual violence is not a mistake. It is an intentionally made decision by people who know they don't have consent. They just don't prioritize consent over things like status, power, domination, and sexual gratification.
For my research, I got a certificate of confidentiality from the National Institutes of Health, so my notes couldn't be subpoenaed. One of the reasons I call them perpetrators in my work is because every single person I interviewed confessed in that context. The first question I would ask them was, "When you received that email from Title IX that you were under investigation, did you know what it was about?" Every perpetrator I interviewed said "yes." If sexual assault were a miscommunication, you would be wondering, What have I possibly done wrong? That is not the way that any of them reacted because they knew.

Started when I was 11-12, when guys in middle school made up rumors that I stuffed my shirt as an excuse to poke my chest. And from there, it only got worse. Especially because of the normalization of sexual harassment and assault surrounding concepts like “the ambulance game” or “slap ass friday”

It wasn’t until my mid 20’s until I formed healthy and safe friendships where I realized that kind of behavior wasn’t okay AT ALL. Sometimes it still blows my mind that they care about my boundaries and sense of safety.

Everyone I surrounded myself with partook in behavior like that where inappropriate touching was “harmless fun”. And if you stood up for yourself or notified an adult, you were treated like you were the problem and cast out. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve been SA’d or harassed-
