Is it a good sign that this is the first mention of Harwood on my timeline for years? Then he pops up with this guff. The UK is healing. The cranks are being sidelined. No tolerance here.

That 50/1 shot’s got wooden legs. The difference is we now know about it.

Monsters in power. Important for our UK society that we’re able to hold them to account.

It was a bad idea to let him go. I looked back on some exchanges on here last year where people were saying he was shite. Not saying I was right after the event just that he’s not shite and in a good team, with his work rate he’s an incredible opportunity. He also loves the club

If he’s free, wants to come back, proves himself there’s huge value. I think he’s only 26 and we’ve missed him.

Not one of the new signings in the starting eleven. Says a lot methinks.

Hannan, everything that’s wrong with the UK. Put your money on the UK rejoining. He only speaks to himself.

Do you not think it’s odd Szobozlai, many fans player of the season doesn’t feature? There may be good reason and there may be more campaigns to come but I think it’s odd. On Allison, doesn’t surprise me.

Jones, Virg, Macca who feature significantly aren’t injured

Interesting that’s Szobozlai doesn’t feature too much, (if at all) on the new kit #LFC kit release #Redsky. Had a feeling he may be moved on in the summer given he’s probably the one with the most value.

It’s quite simple, she like many Labour MPs in the Red Wall will loose their seats in a GE. They aren’t prepared to challenge Brexit with their constituents as the it brings out nastiness and vitriol. The UK needs PR before the next GE otherwise I fear the country will be lost, like the US

Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 18/05/2026
So will be left behind but shouldn’t be at the expense of liberal minded cities. The only way to have a representative government is to reform the electoral system and invoke PR.
010
Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 18/05/2026
Those seats are lost to Labour. There are large parts of the country where people will accept being poorer in exchange for less immigration They didn’t want European people (Brexit), don’t want brown people (Sunak open borders)…

Liverpool are stuck. The management philosophy introduced by Edward’s, ‘Head coach’ with others in charge of recruitment has failed. Sacking Slot doesn’t address that, they’re all responsible. Even Chelsea have realised it’s a failed model.. Mike Gordon and above need to sort this. #redsky #lfc

These are dreadful comments from Slot. Holding the Villa fans up as an example to Liverpool fans after serving up the most insipid football we’ve seen since Hodgson. Hes got no self awareness, simply doesn’t get it.

She was advocating for her own position which unfortunately seems to be shaping the party. She’s an MP for Sunderland (Brexitland), who’ve just lost every council seat to Reform. If Labour do what’s right (have a serious debate re the EU) she’ll be out of a job.
110
Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 10/05/2026
Probably because she’s the MP for Brexit Sunderland who’ve just lost al their councillors to Reform.

Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 10/05/2026
We have to acknowledge that Philipson is MP for Brexit Sunderland, who’ve just lost al their councillors to Reform. Which is why it’s odd she’s been stood up today. Fact is, Labour are doomed and if this is the sum of Starmers reset. He’ll be gone by October.

Badly run councils are a stick to beat the incumbent government with. It’s a RW strategy. Many voters don’t understand the lines of responsibility. Unfortunately.

Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 08/05/2026
Two major policies that would convince me, a lifelong Labour voter to come back 1) Electoral reform which would provide an insurance policy against fascism. 2) Commitment to open discussions with the EU re membership. That’s it.

Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 08/05/2026
If they don’t get rid of FPTP they and the country are doomed. If we want a vision for the future, see what’s happening in the US.

Unless he comes in and implements radical change to the electoral system.

Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 08/05/2026
When it comes to the general election, voters will blame government for poorly run councils. It’s their (Reform) strategy.
000
Ciaron @ciaron.bsky.social · 07/05/2026
Labour are certainly signposting the direction of travel. Unfortunately their red lines aren’t enough for voters. They’ll choose the party that commits to undoing the nonsense that is #Brexit or at least commits to negotiating it with the EU

Good point though they are vulnerable to more modern media (social) and it’s clear who’s driving that.

Theres also something the UK needs to do to mitigate the possible usurpers on the Right (Farage, Johnson et al). They are emboldened and have support from the US, Russia and the bulk of legacy media. Implementing PR would help.

Whoever it is, won’t be able to ignore the increasing appetite for closer integration. Could hasten progress. Conversely, EU could look at the UK as a basket case that changes its leader every couple of years, not to be trusted. Who could blame them.

This approach fundamentally ignores the abstract, that some players outperform their projections if they’re in the right place with the right leaders.
