Or maybe have the only update saying "We're gonna do our best to combat AI and bot accounts on the website", and nothing else besides that. I think that would be good if they actually are truthful to combating bot accounts. But anything else beyond that like removing CC licensing? Heck no, pls no.

New update about the ToS shenanigans for SRC. I'm taking this announcement with a fistful of salt. I won't believe it until I see it. Also, why tf do they need lawyers for this shit? Just fucking leave the old ToS as it is.

Chaos Theory did me quite dirty tonight. Did runs for almost 8h, only managed to get one small PB. More runs on Friday or Saturday. I need a break lol

To clarify, the idea is in regards to making another account on a totally separate and independent speedrun website than speedrun.com. Once again, I approve the idea of independency in this regard. Should lowkey become the founder of a site for FEAR speedruns called FEARSpeedruns.com or something.

As someone who wants to potentially learn a Halo game sometime in the future, I always remembered that Haloruns is its own website for run submissions. While originally not a fan of the idea of "making another account just to submit Halo speedruns", I must admit, I'm in favor of that right now ngl.

To the people who work at src. Congratulations for ruining what once was a wonderful website for speedrun achievements that could once upon a time be archived on there with no fucking problem at all! Fucking revert all these unnecessary TOS bullshit changes

Full disclosure to every1. I'm lowkey considering to even remove most, if not all, of my existing runs on src at this point. Because this is not OK! It's fucking outrageous! I don't remember ever asking SRC for permission to do WR analyses of my own fucking runs. THEY ARE MY RUNS FFS! MINE!

What in the fuck?! therun.gg/blog/leaderb... www.speedrun.com/news/6o56nmv... Truly fucked up shit guys. I guess I'll stop posting my runs on speedrun.com from now on. Fuck this website! These changes are fucking awful! I hope they'll revert, but I fucking doubt it. God dammit -_-

Leaderboards and speedrun.com’s new terms of service

speedrun.com replaced its terms of use on 1 October 2026 and dropped the Creative Commons licence. What changed, why it matters for runners and community tools, and what you can do.

September 2026 marks my most hours streamed in a month since the release of RE4R, reaching 214 hours! I guess I had a lot of fun with various games this month. Thank you all for spending your time with me.

I saw @churp64.bsky.social share his so I'd have to show mine as well. 1 slot per franchise, otherwise it'd be like 2 franchises and then nothing
