Oh shit, I might have to talk about toys and people I hate somewhere else? Why by golly, this must be how it felt to be the Joads in the Grapes of Wrath

I'm not trying to gatekeep or put down anybody's hobbies but I think being added to online shooting games and an increase in haters in vocaloid fan groups is not a coincidence

People who think all hip hop music is about sex and violence aren't just racist, they're wrong Hip hop is the emcee telling you he or she is better than you, always has been better than you, and always will be better than you. Like social media except older and better

I wonder if it's Apple's fault everything turned black, white, or gray, and if so, will they become the reason things turn colorful again or will it all stay that way? There's this thing about neutral colors defining wealth and I wonder how stuck this is, and if Apple is stuck with it too

I made y'all a guide so you can decide whether to post your reply, inspired by @georgemonbiot.bsky.social.

A flowchart diagram outlining a decision-making process for replying online, featuring six yellow rounded rectangular boxes stacked vertically on the left. Each yellow box contains a question with an accompanying emoji: "Is the reply insulting or abusive? 🤬", "Is it performative idiocy? 🤡", "Does it make false accusations? ⚠️", "Is it pointless conflict? ⚔️", "Is it racist, sexist, or other forms of prejudice? 🏳️‍⚧️", and "Does it contribute meaningfully to the discourse? ⚖️". Answering "Yes" to any of the first five questions leads via black arrows directly to a red oval on the right side that reads "Don’t post! 🛑". Answering "No" moves down to the next question in sequence. For the final question, answering "No" also points to the red "Don’t post!" box, while answering "Yes" is the only path that leads to a green oval at the bottom right that reads "It’s safe to post, but consider not posting anyway! 🚦".

I don't want the state's power grid bogged down by corporate interests or tp to cost twice as much from the tree land being gone, but this needs to be fought without exaggerations or misinformation. Nobody was drinking from the taps here even before data centers and factories were built.

Part of the reason I have trouble learning Go is that all the videos teaching how to break down a game waste so much time on "They could have done this, or this, or this" that I can't keep up with why the actual move made worked (or not)

I can't think of many things that one can do with jamming/lasers that beats the efficacy and speed of a .22 LR. That being said, the city is contractually obligated to repair and replace all of the above. So in the end, this is just giving more taxpayer money to Flock.

I wrote this at the beginning of June and have been thinking about it again this week

This sends a message on a fundamental level that manly white men taking charge is the only way out of this mess.
The argument goes that if we cater to the strongman-loving model just enough to recapture the votes of those who abandoned the Democratic Party at one point or another, we can run a bait-and-switch by imposing progressive policies, even if the voters who get fooled into voting for a white guy weren’t necessarily asking for that.
Today, I’m talking less about any of those candidates’ actual platforms or backgrounds and more about and why they get selected to run or to receive massive support from institutions and institutional figures. Because if maintaining white solidarity becomes the overriding principle in selecting candidates, it affects the entire political system over time.

The people who won't be watching for another 3 years say the US has a problem where every kid plays soccer and then switches to a different sport. The overall thought that US culture is a problem is correct, it's the reason that you have wrong.

There's nothing to say when you have every advantage available and then lose anyway. The only thing that bothers me about having the CONCACAF 3 out in the round of 16 is that this is the norm established in the 90s. It's better than losing in groups but real improvement is producing a semifinalist
