I got to develop my own set on RA and there was actually a huuuge amount of bureaucracy and QA approval processes for new devs, whereas older sets can be rough and existing "Senior" devs can still do what they want without scrutiny haha

It's annoying losing progress in a game, and it's way worse losing boring, menial progress that there's no way to speed up. I've been having a good time overall but I think this is where I'm starting to run out of patience for the time management portions of the game ;w;

Accidentally skipped a cutscene in Fire Emblem so I reset the game, only to find that the infamously frequent autosave didn't trigger at all in my last 40 minutes of navigating the same menus over and over again :(

Something I appreciate in good character writing is when weaknesses are closely linked with strengths! The cautious scholar hesitates to make quick decisions, someone's confidence begets stubbornness, etc! The well-meaning jock shouldn't *also* be the wisecrack who always gets the last quip...

Just a couple hours into the new Fire Emblem and I feel it's a masterclass in character visual design. It's SOOO refreshing to see characters who look like genuine, mature pieces of their world while having a variety of traits (e.g. age/skin tone) we don't often see in JRPGs... I love it!

the amount of times i've had to read "ohhh but it's all stock animations!! they're not pokemon!!!" as reasons for Bound Destiny not being worth playing drives me mad. i try to be nice about it, but god. you get a full length jrpg and you shit on it for things that aren't feasible for a solo dev
