Chuck @chuckdries.com · 09/07/2026Meat is resting. I ended up using two probes for the meat and two for ambient temps, and one of the meat probes (Orange 1) went a little wonky. Not sure what's up with that 000
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 08/07/2026I'm going to be smoking a pork butt tomorrow and I had to get my dashboard ready for the occasion 120
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 11/01/2026Did a lil astro tonight. Quite pleased with the reflections in the second pic 071
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 07/11/2025I just got back from a delightful two week trip to Japan. I decided to only pack 3 rolls of film, thinking I'd get more once I got there, but I actually only ended up using two rolls total. I shot one of them during our day in Okayama. These are all from that single Cinestill 50D roll. 030
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 07/11/2025Last week I visited the Hakone Open Air Museum, and I just scanned the photos tonight. These are Kodak Gold - I only used a single roll of film that day but I am really really pleased with almost every photo I took 130
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 03/09/2025How much fidelity are you thinking for the icons? First thing I thought of is a halftone radial gradient with a radius line. I made a google images screenshot mockup of the idea but idk whether it would scale down well 110
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 02/09/2025My latest side project is live! It's an app that holds your hand as you learn your computer's command line. Currently Mac only, Windows soon chuckdries.itch.io/command-line... 69629
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 19/08/2025CLI cookbook update: the first recipe is feature complete! It now handles optional arguments and spaces in paths. Next major steps are writing documentation, setting up installers and distribution, then more recipes! 000
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 15/08/2025I’ve been cooking on a new side project recently, and I’m really excited about it! It’s called Command Line Cookbook. It’s meant to be sort of like training wheels for the terminal, for people who are relatively computer literate but may not be comfortable in a text environment yet 130
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 08/07/2025Quite pleased to have such good photos of myself! Normally I’m behind the camera so this is a rare treat 030
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 05/07/2025We went downtown to watch the fireworks tonight, but we ended up setting up on the wrong side of the bridge, so all my photos are of the bridge and people on the bridge watching the fireworks. At first I was disappointed, but honestly the perspective is kinda nice 0111

Chuck @chuckdries.com · 14/03/2025I didn’t like this one when I took it last year. I stumbled back on it today and liked it a lot more 070
Chuck @chuckdries.com · 13/03/2025Some roses from the archive. I am getting so excited about spring 51315

Chuck @chuckdries.com · 25/02/2025This is my first ever attempt to develop E-6 at home, and my first post on Flashes! People told me E-6 is tricky and they were right, I struggled to maintain proper temps and it came out a little too dark (+ that line down the middle). Overall, I’m pleased. #film #ektachrome 060
